The app gives warehouse and operations teams a fast, focused scanning experience without the cost and complexity of a full WMS. Operators scan barcodes during receiving against open Purchase Orders, picking and packing against Sales Orders and Warehouse Shipments, inventory counts, and bin transfers — every scan validates in real time against the underlying BC document, item, lot/serial and bin before it posts.
Under the hood we extend the standard tables and pages (Purchase Line, Warehouse Activity Line, Item Ledger, Bin Content) with AL table extensions and page extensions, and wire posting logic through event subscribers so we never patch base application code. Handheld devices and phones connect over the Business Central REST/OData v4 API (or a lightweight scan page in the BC mobile/web client), so there is no separate middleware server to babysit. Scan workflows are configurable per warehouse location: define which steps require lot/serial capture, bin confirmation, or over-receipt tolerance.
Because it is delivered as source you own per tenant, we can tailor field mappings, document flows and validation rules to how your team actually works, scope permission sets to scanner-only roles, and integrate with the Power Platform / Dataverse if you want a Power Apps front end later. Upload to Odoo
Extract the ZIP into your Odoo custom addons folder on the server (or upload via Apps > Install from file on Odoo.sh / runbot).
Install the module
Activate Developer Mode, open Apps, click Update Apps List, search for Barcode Scanning & Data Collection App, and press Install.
Configure settings
Open the new menu, paste your ECOSIRE license key, connect any external credentials (Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, etc.), and save.
Verify & go live
