What is Hotel Channel Manager Connector?

A build-to-order Odoo integration that keeps rates, availability, and reservations in sync between your Odoo PMS and OTA channels. ECOSIRE builds, installs, and supports it for Odoo 17, 18, and 19. Built to order by ECOSIRE for Odoo 17, 18, 19 — indicative price from $999.00 USD; request a quote for a scoped proposal.

Key Features

Two-way ARI sync — availability, rates, and inventory pushed outbound and reservations pulled inbound on every mapped channel
Channel-mapping models binding each Odoo room type and rate plan to its OTA counterpart, with per-property `record rules` for multi-hotel groups
Availability computed via `@api.depends` on confirmed booking lines so remaining inventory recalculates and fans out instantly on every reservation
Overbooking protection with a configurable inventory buffer and automatic stop-sell when a room type hits zero across shared allotments
Stop-sell, minimum-stay, maximum-stay, and closed-to-arrival / closed-to-departure restrictions modeled as first-class fields and pushed with rates
Inbound reservation import that creates native Odoo bookings with guest, dates, room type, rate plan, and channel commission attached
Idempotent inbound handling — reservations de-duplicated on channel reservation ID so webhook retries never create duplicate folios
Outbound sync through `ir.cron` scheduled actions and queued jobs with retry, exponential backoff, and per-channel rate limiting
Centralized rate and revenue control — set a base rate once in Odoo and derive channel rates via markup/markdown rules per rate plan
Direct-to-OTA connectors and/or channel-manager hub integration over `XML-RPC/JSON-RPC` or REST, selected per your distribution mix
Encrypted credential storage in Odoo config parameters (`ir.config_parameter`) — no OTA API keys hard-coded in source
Full sync audit log model with an OWL/XML backend view showing every push/pull, payload status, and error for troubleshooting
Modification and cancellation handling — amended or cancelled OTA reservations update or release the matching Odoo booking and restock availability
`ir.model.access.csv` roles separating front-desk, revenue-manager, and admin permissions on channels, mappings, and rate controls

About this Product

Hotels selling rooms across Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, and their own website live in fear of the double-booking. Odoo's native accommodation and PMS models track your inventory internally, but out of the box Odoo has no notion of an OTA channel, no rate-plan mapping, and no two-way push of availability to third parties. The moment you list the same room on three channels, someone changes a rate in one extranet and forgets the others, a guest books a room that was already sold, and your front desk spends the morning apologizing and relocating. Manually re-keying ARI (availability, rates, inventory) into three separate extranets is not a strategy — it is a standing liability that scales with your occupancy.

ECOSIRE builds a dedicated Hotel Channel Manager Connector as a proper Odoo module. We add channel and channel-mapping models (models.Model with ir.model.access.csv permissions and multi-property record rules) that bind each Odoo room type and rate plan to its counterpart on every OTA. A sync engine pushes ARI outward whenever a booking, price change, or stop-sell is recorded in Odoo, and pulls new reservations inward — either directly against each OTA's API or through a channel-manager hub (a supported aggregator), depending on your distribution mix. Inbound reservations land as native Odoo bookings with guest, room type, dates, and channel commission attached, so your existing folio, invoicing, and QWeb confirmation reports keep working unchanged.

Technically, the connector is built the Odoo way. Availability is a computed value derived from confirmed reservations with @api.depends on the booking lines, so a new reservation instantly recalculates what is left to sell and fans that number out to every mapped channel. Outbound calls run through Odoo's queued jobs / ir.cron scheduled actions with retry and backoff, so a slow OTA endpoint never blocks a front-desk clerk mid-checkout. Inbound reservations arrive via a controller endpoint (webhook) or a polling cron, are de-duplicated on the channel reservation ID, and are logged to an audit model you can inspect from a dedicated OWL/XML backend view. Stop-sell, minimum-stay, and closed-to-arrival restrictions are modeled as first-class fields and pushed alongside rates. All third-party calls go through Odoo's XML-RPC/JSON-RPC or REST layer with credentials stored in encrypted config parameters, never hard-coded.

Because this is build-to-order, nothing ships until we agree on scope. We start with a short scoping call to confirm which OTAs, which PMS (Odoo Enterprise's own or a third-party hospitality app), how many properties and room types, and whether you connect direct-to-OTA or via a hub. We then build against your exact Odoo version (17.0, 18.0, or 19.0), validate the full push/pull cycle on a staging database with your real room and rate structure, and only deploy to production after you sign off on UAT. Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope. Community vs Enterprise differences are handled explicitly — if your PMS is an Enterprise app we integrate with it; if you run a community hospitality stack we adapt the mapping layer accordingly.

What you get

  • Installable Odoo module source code targeting your exact version (17.0, 18.0, or 19.0), with a clean `__manifest__.py` and declared dependencies
  • Installation and configuration on your environment, including channel mapping setup and OTA/hub credential wiring
  • Technical documentation — data model, `ir.cron` jobs, webhook endpoints, mapping schema, and sync-failure runbook
  • End-user guide plus a live training session for front-desk and revenue-management staff
  • Post-go-live support window for bug fixes and sync adjustments after launch
  • UAT on a staging database with your real room/rate structure, plus a documented rollback plan
  • Git repository handover with full commit history and tagged release
  • Channel-mapping worksheet mapping each room type and rate plan to its OTA counterpart, signed off before deployment

Who this is for

Independent hotel / boutique property owner

Runs one or a few properties on Odoo and lists rooms on Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb. Needs double-bookings gone and rate parity without paying a per-room SaaS channel manager forever.

Revenue manager at a hotel group

Manages rates and allotments across multiple properties and room types. Needs one place in Odoo to set base rates, apply per-channel markups, and enforce stop-sell and minimum-stay rules everywhere at once.

Front-desk / reservations manager

Handles daily arrivals and lives in the PMS. Needs OTA reservations to appear automatically as native Odoo bookings with the right guest, dates, and commission — no re-keying from three extranets.

Hospitality IT / operations lead

Owns the Odoo instance and integrations. Needs a maintainable, version-matched module with an audit log, retry-safe cron jobs, and a rollback plan rather than a fragile one-off script.

Frequently Asked Questions about Hotel Channel Manager Connector

How long does delivery take?

This is a build-to-order module, so nothing is downloaded instantly. After a short scoping call to confirm your OTAs, PMS, properties, and connection method, typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope. We validate the full push/pull cycle on staging before any production deployment.

Which OTAs and channels do you support?

Common targets are Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb, connected either directly to each OTA's API or through a supported channel-manager hub — whichever suits your distribution mix. We confirm the exact channel list and connection approach during scoping, since API access and hub availability vary by property and region.

Will it work with my Odoo version and PMS?

Yes. We build against your exact Odoo version — 17.0, 18.0, or 19.0 — and integrate with your PMS, whether that is Odoo Enterprise's hospitality app or a third-party accommodation module. Community vs Enterprise differences are handled explicitly in the mapping layer during scoping.

How does it prevent overbooking?

Availability is computed from confirmed reservations and pushed to every mapped channel the moment inventory changes. A configurable buffer and automatic stop-sell close a room type across shared allotments when it hits zero, and inbound reservations are de-duplicated so webhook retries never create phantom bookings.

What about support and updates after go-live?

Every build includes a post-go-live support window for bug fixes and sync adjustments. Because you receive the full git repository and source code, you own the module outright. We also offer ongoing support and version-upgrade engagements (for example when you move from Odoo 18 to 19) as a separate arrangement.

Do we own the code, or is it locked to a subscription?

You own it. We hand over the complete Odoo module source and git repository with full commit history and a tagged release. There is no per-room subscription to ECOSIRE for the module itself — any OTA or hub fees are between you and those providers.

Can it handle multiple properties and rate plans?

Yes. Channel mappings are scoped per property with Odoo `record rules`, and each room type can carry multiple rate plans mapped independently to each OTA. Revenue managers set a base rate once and derive channel rates via per-plan markup rules, with stop-sell and minimum-stay pushed alongside.
