India's e-invoicing mandate requires every GST-registered business above the turnover threshold to register each B2B invoice with the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) and carry a signed IRN and QR code before goods move. Shopify has no native concept of GST, HSN codes, IRN registration or e-way bills — so most Indian merchants stitch together spreadsheets and manual GSP portals after every order.
