Equipment is modeled on product.template/product.product with solar-specific attributes (module wattage, cell technology, inverter phase, battery chemistry) and serial-tracked stock.lot records, so every panel and inverter installed on a roof is traceable back to a specific site, customer, and warranty clock. Everything ships as a proper Odoo addon — a versioned __manifest__.py, ORM models, security/ir.model.access.csv plus record rules for installer/surveyor/manager roles, backend views (XML with OWL where the UX warrants it), automated actions for milestone-driven follow-ups, and QWeb PDF reports for the survey sheet, system proposal, and commissioning certificate.
