Auto repair and vehicle service businesses live and die on throughput per bay, accurate labor capture, and parts that leave the shelf only when they are actually billed. Out of the box, Odoo gives you Sales, Inventory, and to a degree Maintenance, but none of those speak the language of a workshop: there is no first-class vehicle record tying a customer to a VIN, plate, make/model and service history; a repair order is not a native concept that flows from booking to inspection to labor lines to parts issue to invoice; and technician time on a specific job is not something Odoo core captures against a costed labor rate. At the model level we introduce a fleet.vehicle-aware vehicle record and a dedicated workshop.job.card model (models.Model) with a proper state machine — draft → inspection → in_progress → quality_check → done → invoiced — driven by ORM methods rather than manual status fields. Labor lines carry a technician (res.users/hr.employee), a costed product.product of type service, and @api.depends compute fields that roll estimated vs actual hours and margin up to the job card. Parts lines reserve and issue against real stock.moves so inventory stays truthful, and a one-click action posts the account.move invoice through Odoo's standard accounting. Everything is exposed through OWL/XML views, a technician-friendly kanban of the bays, and QWeb job-card and gate-pass PDFs branded to your shop.

Because it is written as a real Odoo module, it inherits the platform's strengths instead of fighting them: access is governed by ir.model.access.csv plus record rules (a service advisor sees their bookings, a technician sees only assigned jobs, the manager sees the whole shop), automated actions can fire service-reminder emails or SMS from an odometer or date trigger, and every model is reachable over the XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API so a booking website, a WhatsApp bot, or a customer portal can create and read job cards programmatically.
