Selling on Kaufland Global Marketplace (formerly real.de) means living in the Seller Portal: downloading order files, re-keying them as sales orders, uploading offer updates when prices change, and pasting tracking numbers back one at a time. Every one of those hops is a place where a sale gets keyed twice, an item oversells because the Business Central inventory number never reached the marketplace, or a month-end close stalls because Kaufland's commission and payout statements never became journal entries. Dynamics 365 Business Central handles the sales order, the item ledger and the general ledger well — it simply has no idea Kaufland exists. There is no standard connector, no marketplace status vocabulary in the sales document lifecycle, and nowhere to park a marketplace order id, a unit id or a fulfilment deadline.
ECOSIRE builds a dedicated AL extension that closes that gap inside Business Central rather than beside it. The extension ships a Kaufland Setup page holding your client key and endpoint configuration, a staging table for raw marketplace payloads, and codeunits that talk to the Kaufland Seller API over HTTPS using HttpClient with the signed-request pattern the API requires. Incoming orders land in staging first, are mapped through configurable item/offer, shipping-method and payment-method mapping tables, and are then created as Business Central sales orders with the marketplace order number, unit ids and buyer address written to table extensions on Sales Header and Sales Line. Nothing is created blind: unmapped SKUs, unknown shipping profiles and address failures stop on an error log page you can retry from, so a bad payload never silently posts.
Synchronisation runs both ways on Job Queue Entries you control. Stock changes are picked up through event subscribers on item ledger posting and on price setup tables, queued as deltas, and pushed to Kaufland as offer updates on the cadence you set — per minute for fast movers, hourly for the long tail. Posted sales shipment and warehouse shipment triggers push fulfilment confirmations with carrier and tracking number back to the marketplace, so the buyer sees dispatch without anyone touching the portal. Settlement documents are imported and reconciled: commission, fulfilment and payout lines are matched to their originating orders and posted as configurable general journal lines against the accounts, dimensions and journal templates your controller specifies, so the Kaufland payout on your bank statement reconciles to a real ledger balance instead of a spreadsheet.
The extension is written for current Business Central release waves and runs on SaaS online and on-premises. It is delivered as a per-tenant extension, or packaged to AppSource technical requirements under your own publisher account if you want that. It ships its own permission sets so marketplace operators get the Kaufland pages without general ledger rights, exposes marketplace order and settlement data through API pages (REST API v2.0 / OData v4) for Power BI, Power Automate and Dataverse, and emits Application Insights telemetry so a failed API call surfaces in the same diagnostics as the rest of your Business Central environment.
This is a build-to-order product, not an AppSource download — nothing installs until we have talked. We start with a short scoping call to confirm your Business Central version and deployment model, your Kaufland seller account and marketplace scope, the item and category mapping you need, and how settlement postings should hit your chart of accounts. You get a fixed scope and quotation before any development starts. Typical delivery is 2-4 weeks from confirmed scope: we build against your version, install and configure in a sandbox, run UAT with your team on staging, then deploy to production with a rollback plan. You receive the source code, the git repository, technical and user documentation, a training session and a post-go-live support window.
Runs the Kaufland channel day to day and is tired of the Seller Portal being a second system. Needs orders arriving in Business Central automatically with the right status, stock that never oversells, and dispatch confirmations going back without anyone copying tracking numbers.
Owns month-end and cannot reconcile a Kaufland payout to the ledger today, because commissions and fees exist only in statements. Needs settlement lines posted to defined accounts and dimensions so the marketplace bank receipt matches a real balance.
Responsible for the tenant and its extensions. Needs an AL extension that respects object ranges, ships proper permission sets, survives release-wave upgrades, and emits telemetry instead of failing silently inside a Job Queue Entry.
Sells on Kaufland alongside other channels and needs one inventory truth in Business Central. Needs per-channel pricing rules, listing control by category, and marketplace reporting that reaches Power BI without another extract.
| Criterion | ECOSIRE | Custom Build | Competitor | Dynamics 365 Business Central Native |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fit to your item, category and settlement setup | Mapping tables and posting rules built around your chart of accounts and item structure during scoping | Fully bespoke, but you specify every rule yourself and carry the design risk | Generic mapping templates; you bend your setup to the app's assumptions | No Kaufland concept exists in Business Central at all |
| Time to a working channel | Typically 2-4 weeks from confirmed scope, including UAT on staging | Months, depending on your developer's marketplace-API experience and availability | Installs in a day, then weeks of configuration and workarounds for the gaps | Never — manual file handling continues indefinitely |
| Ownership of the code | Full AL source and git repository handed over; any partner can maintain it | You own it, and you also own every future fix and release-wave upgrade | Closed extension; you rent it and depend on the vendor's roadmap | Nothing to own |
| Settlement and fee reconciliation | Statement lines matched to orders and posted to agreed accounts and dimensions | Achievable, but usually the last feature built and the first one cut | Often order sync only; fees stay in spreadsheets outside the ledger | Manual journal entries keyed from portal statements |
| Stock accuracy under load | Event-subscriber deltas with per-group cadence and configurable buffer quantities | Depends on the developer's design; polling is the common shortcut | Fixed sync interval you cannot tune per item group | Whatever someone remembers to upload |
| Upgrade safety across release waves | Extension model, own object range, tested against your target version before deploy | Varies; unmanaged object ranges and shortcut designs are common | Vendor-controlled; you wait for their compatible release | Not applicable |
| Reporting and Power Platform access | API pages (REST v2.0 / OData v4) for Power BI, Power Automate and Dataverse | Only if it was specified and paid for up front | Usually the app's own dashboards; external access varies by vendor | Standard Business Central data only, with no marketplace context |
| Cost model | One-off build cost plus an optional support agreement; no per-order fee | Open-ended day rate with an uncertain finish line | Recurring per-tenant or per-transaction subscription, indefinitely | Free software, paid for in staff hours and oversell losses |
This is a build-to-order extension, so there is nothing to download today. Typical delivery is 2-4 weeks from confirmed scope. That window covers development against your Business Central version, sandbox installation and configuration, UAT on staging with your team, and production deployment with a rollback plan. Complex category and attribute mapping, unusual settlement posting rules, or an on-premises deployment can extend it — we give you a realistic date in the quotation, before any work starts.
No. ECOSIRE builds it for you after you request a quotation, and we will not claim it installs in minutes. The advantage is that the mapping tables, status vocabulary and settlement postings are built around your chart of accounts and item setup rather than a generic template. If you want it packaged to AppSource technical requirements under your own publisher account, we can build to that.
Every engagement includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and mapping adjustments, agreed in the quotation. Beyond that we offer an ongoing support agreement covering Kaufland Seller API changes, compatibility with each new Business Central release wave, and enhancement work. Because you receive the full source and git repository, you are never locked in — your own developers or another partner can maintain it.
We build for current Business Central release waves, on SaaS online and on-premises. We build and test against your exact version, confirmed on the scoping call. If you are mid-upgrade, tell us the target version and we will build for that instead, so you are not paying for work on a platform you are leaving.
Stock changes are captured through event subscribers on item ledger posting rather than by polling the whole item list. Changes queue as deltas and are pushed on the cadence you configure per item group, so fast movers can update within a minute while the long tail updates hourly. You can also configure a buffer quantity per item or category, so a shared-stock SKU does not sell its last unit on two channels at once.
Settlement statements are imported and each line is matched back to its originating order. Commission, fulfilment and other fee lines post as general journal lines against the accounts, dimensions and journal templates your controller specifies during scoping — agreed in writing in the settlement posting design document before we build it. The Kaufland payout hitting your bank then reconciles to ledger balances instead of a spreadsheet.
Yes. The extension exposes marketplace orders, offers and settlement lines through API pages using REST API v2.0 / OData v4, so Power BI, Power Automate and Dataverse read them the same way they read standard Business Central data — no separate export job and no intermediate database.
