About this Product

Tooling & Calibration Management is a build-to-order extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, engineered by ECOSIRE for precision manufacturers who must prove that every measurement was taken with in-calibration equipment.

This is not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE builds the extension to your processes, installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment (cloud or on-prem), and supports it after go-live.

At its core is a dedicated tooling register implemented as new AL tables and Card/List pages: every tool, gauge, and fixture carries an asset number, type, manufacturer, serial, current location, custodian, and status. Calibration is modelled as a recurring schedule — each asset has an interval, a last-calibrated date, and a calculated next-due date. A scheduled job queue entry evaluates due and overdue items daily and raises alerts so nothing slips past its window.

Calibration certificates and measurement reports are attached using BC's native document attachment / incoming-document framework, so the certificate of record lives beside the asset. Tool-life and usage are accumulated against each asset, and shared tooling moves through a check-in / check-out flow that records who holds what and where.

What ongoing support and updates are included after go-live?

Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and questions. Because it is a real AL extension, ECOSIRE keeps it compatible with future Business Central major releases and can extend it — new calibration rules, additional integrations, more reports — under a support or change-request agreement. You own the deployed extension on your tenant.

Will it actually stop production from using an out-of-calibration gauge?

Yes — that guard is implemented with AL event subscribers on the relevant production, output, or quality documents. When an order references an asset whose calibration date has passed, the extension can warn the user or hard-block the action, based on the policy you choose during scoping. The control lives inside Business Central, not in a separate system.

Can the calibration data feed Power BI or the Power Platform?

Yes.
