Event subscribers on the sales posting and reservation flow create cross-location Reservation Entry records and spin up Transfer Orders or warehouse shipments for the fulfilling store. A dedicated "fulfillment node" page lets store associates capture an out-of-stock order, choose ship-from-store, BOPIS (buy-online-pickup-in-store) or pickup-at-another-branch, and track it to completion. Background work — availability refresh, web-order intake, status callbacks — runs through the Job Queue.
Web and external commerce sync over the Business Central REST/OData v4 API, with optional Dataverse / Power Platform integration for a Power Automate fulfillment-routing flow or a Power BI fill-rate dashboard.
