Partial Payment & Deposit Checkout is a custom Shopify app that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports for your store — not an instant App Store download. It solves a concrete cash-flow and risk problem: high-ticket, made-to-order and COD merchants lose sales when the full price is demanded up front, and lose money when COD parcels are refused on delivery.

The app lets a customer pay a configurable deposit (percentage or fixed amount) now and the remaining balance later. We implement deposit logic per product, per collection or store-wide using Shopify metafields, and drive the money flow through the Admin GraphQL API and draft orders so the original cart, line items, taxes and discounts stay intact. The balance is captured later via a secure pay-balance link, an emailed reminder sequence, or — for COD — an advance-payment collection step that filters out return-to-origin (RTO) risk before you ship.

Every order writes a balance-tracking record (paid vs. outstanding, due date, status) surfaced in an embedded admin dashboard built with Polaris and App Bridge. Webhooks (orders/create, orders/paid, refunds/create) keep balances, fulfillment holds and reminders in sync. Layaway and installment schedules are supported as timed balance milestones.

Because it is built to order, we scope it to your theme, checkout configuration, payment provider and tax setup, install it on your store under a custom OAuth app, and hand over a system that matches your real workflow.
