Adobe Commerce adds Multi-Source Inventory (MSI) and basic Source Selection Algorithms, but neither gives an omnichannel retailer a true order brain that can ingest orders from the web store, in-store POS and external marketplaces, score every source against distance, stock, capacity and cost, then orchestrate ship-from-store, BOPIS and split shipments with backorder handling.
