About this Product

Tap Payments Gateway for Magento 2 is a build-to-order payment integration that connects your Magento 2 (Open Source or Adobe Commerce) checkout directly to Tap Payments / goSell, so GCC shoppers can pay with the rails they actually trust: KNET (Kuwait), mada (Saudi Arabia), Benefit (Bahrain), OmanNet (Oman), Apple Pay, and Visa/Mastercard cards.

This is not an instant Marketplace download. ECOSIRE builds the module to your store's exact requirements, then installs, configures and supports it on your Magento install. The extension ships as a proper Magento module under app/code/Ecosire/TapPayments, registered through Magento's payment service contracts and the gateway command/response framework (Magento\Payment\Gateway). Configuration lives in system.xml under Stores → Configuration → Sales → Payment Methods, with credentials stored encrypted via Magento's config encryption.

Under the hood we wire the gateway with dependency injection (di.xml) for command pools, value handlers and validators; use plugins/interceptors where core behavior must be extended without edits; and register observers on sales_order_* events for status sync. Webhooks from Tap are received on a dedicated controller (CSRF-exempt, signature-verified) so authorize, capture, void and refund states stay consistent even on asynchronous KNET/mada redirects. Admins get refunds and partial captures from the order view via Magento's credit-memo and invoice flows, guarded by admin ACL resources. 3D Secure and tokenization are handled per Tap's hosted/SDK flow, keeping you out of full PCI-DSS scope.

Delivery includes a defined support window for the Magento minor version you are on, covering bug fixes to our code and configuration help. Because Magento and Tap both evolve, major Magento upgrades or Tap API changes may require a paid compatibility update — we scope these transparently. There is no forced subscription; you keep the source either way.

Which Tap payment methods are included?

KNET, mada, Benefit, OmanNet, Apple Pay and Visa/Mastercard card payments via Tap / goSell, subject to what your own Tap merchant account is approved for. If Tap enables additional methods on your account, we can extend the module to surface them.

Will this keep me PCI compliant and is it safe to upgrade Magento later?

Card data is handled by Tap's hosted/SDK flow with 3D Secure and tokenization, so card numbers never touch your server — this keeps you in the lighter PCI-DSS SAQ-A scope. The module is built with di.xml, plugins and service contracts (no core edits), so it survives setup:upgrade. A future major Magento upgrade should still be tested, and we can handle that compatibility pass.

Does it work with headless / GraphQL / PWA Studio checkouts?

Yes. The payment method is exposed through Magento's REST and GraphQL checkout so headless and PWA Studio storefronts can place orders against Tap. We verify the GraphQL setPaymentMethodOnCart / placeOrder flow as part of delivery when your project is headless.
