About this Product

The Tap Payments Gateway is a build-to-order Magento 2 payment integration that connects your store to Tap's GCC payment rails — KNET (Kuwait), mada (Saudi Arabia), Benefit (Bahrain), international cards, and Apple Pay — through a single checkout method. This is not an instant Adobe Commerce Marketplace download: ECOSIRE builds the module to your store's Magento version, theme, and checkout, then installs and supports it on your install.

The extension ships as a proper Magento module under app/code/Ecosire/TapPayments, registered with Tap's API as a gateway payment method using Magento's Magento\Payment\Gateway service contracts. We wire command pool, request/response builders, and value handlers via di.xml rather than legacy abstract methods, so capture, authorize, sale, and refund flow through idiomatic gateway commands. The payment action (authorize_capture vs authorize) is configurable through system.xml admin configuration with ACL-gated access.

At checkout, customers are redirected to Tap's hosted page (or use the embedded card SDK), then returned via a controller that validates the webhook signature and finalizes the order through an observer on sales_order_place_after. Refunds and online capture run from the admin Credit Memo / Invoice screens, calling Tap's API directly — no manual reconciliation. 3D Secure and tokenization are handled by Tap; multi-currency GCC support maps store currencies (KWD, SAR, BHD, AED) to the correct Tap charge currency.

Works on Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4.x, follows Magento coding standards, and is delivered with REST/GraphQL-compatible order placement so headless (PWA Studio / Hyvä) front ends are supported on request.
