Education Student Attendance

Education Student Attendance is a build-to-order Odoo module ECOSIRE designs and builds for your institution. At its core is a purpose-built ORM model (models.Model) for the attendance line — student, subject, period, session date, and a state field for present/absent/late/excused — with the roster rendered through a fast batch-marking OWL view so a teacher clears a full class in seconds rather than one form at a time. A @api.depends computed field rolls each student's attendance percentage per subject and overall, and a stored threshold drives an ir.actions.server / automated action that raises a low-attendance flag and queues a parent notification via mail (email and SMS). Capture is flexible: QR-code and student-portal self check-in for live sessions, plus scheduled inbound sync of RFID and biometric-device logs through the JSON-RPC/XML-RPC API so hardware you already own feeds the same records.

Because compliance reporting is the point, the module ships QWeb reports for monthly attendance registers and per-class summaries, a defaulters list, and a spreadsheet export sized for board and regulatory submission. Working-day math is academic-calendar aware — holidays, weekends and declared non-instructional days are excluded from the denominator, so a percentage means what an auditor expects it to mean. A leave/excuse application and approval workflow lets students or guardians request an excused absence and coordinators approve it, updating the record and the computed percentage in one place. Access is governed by ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so a class teacher sees only their assigned sections while coordinators and administration see the full institution, and an analytics dashboard surfaces attendance trends and repeat defaulters. It targets Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0 on Community or Enterprise; Enterprise adds native dashboard and studio conveniences where you run it.
