The Power BI Connector for Magento is a build-to-order Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce extension that turns your storefront into a governed data source for Microsoft Power BI. There is no instant Marketplace download — ECOSIRE builds, installs, and supports the module on your own Magento install, then delivers a .pbix template wired to your data so your finance and BI teams stop hand-exporting CSVs.

Technically, the connector ships as a module under app/code/Ecosire/PowerBiConnector with di.xml virtual types defining each extract, service contracts (Api/ interfaces + Model/ implementations) exposing curated datasets, and a read-optimized REST/OData endpoint Power BI consumes via Web/OData connectors using OAuth2 bearer tokens scoped by admin ACL. We model directly off the catalog, sales_order, sales_order_item, customer_entity, and inventory (MSI inventory_source_item) tables, exposing flattened, BI-friendly views rather than raw EAV — so Power BI doesn't choke on attribute joins.

Incremental extraction runs on Magento cron (configurable groups), tracking high-water marks per entity so each refresh pulls only changed rows. Observers on events like sales_order_save_after can optionally flag near-real-time deltas.
