Document Layout & Designer turns the patchwork of default RDLC/Word report layouts in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central into a single, branded, governable document system — without you writing AL or wrestling with Report Builder.
ECOSIRE builds this as a per-tenant AL extension installed directly into your Business Central environment (cloud or on-prem). We ship a curated layout package for the documents that matter most — sales invoices, quotes, order confirmations, posted shipments, statements and credit memos — built on the standard Custom Report Layout and Report Selections framework so they survive Microsoft's monthly updates.
The package includes table and page extensions for a Document Branding setup card, plus event subscribers on the report/document events that let you map logo, color palette, font theme and footer content per company and per Customer or Language Code. Marketers get a no-code editor experience driven by Business Central setup pages — change a logo or accent color and every applicable document re-themes. No republishing, no developer ticket.
Because layouts are wired through Report Selections and per-customer variants, you can send a different branded template to a wholesale account than a retail one, and automatically switch language layouts for cross-border customers.

This is build-to-order, not an instant AppSource download. After purchase we run a short scoping call to confirm your document set and branding assets, then build the extension. We install on your sandbox first for sign-off, then deploy to production.
Will this survive Business Central's monthly updates?
Yes. We build on the standard Custom Report Layout and Report Selections framework and use event subscribers rather than modifying base application objects. Delivered as a versioned per-tenant extension, it's designed to upgrade cleanly. Our support plan covers re-validating against new BC releases.
What ongoing support and updates do I get?
Every build includes a warranty period for fixes after handover. Yes. Through Report Selections and per-Customer variants you can route a distinct branded layout to specific accounts — for example wholesale versus retail — and the package switches templates by the customer's Language Code so international customers receive documents in the right layout automatically.
