When one customer generates several quotations or confirmed sales orders across different reps, dates, or entry points, your team ends up manually re-keying lines into one document, chasing duplicate discounts, and reconciling deliveries and invoices that should have been a single transaction. Odoo core has no native "combine these orders into one" action: sale.order records are independent, quotations do not roll up, and the closest workarounds — copy-pasting order lines or leaning on blanket orders — lose the link back to the originals and quietly break your audit trail. This is exactly where standard Odoo runs out of road, and where a purpose-built merge capability pays for itself.
We build a made-to-order module that adds a controlled Merge action to the sale.order model. You select two or more source quotations or orders for the same customer, and the module creates one consolidated sale.order whose lines are copied — and optionally combined — from the sources, preserving product_id, product_uom, unit price, discount, taxes, and analytic distribution. A server-side layer (with @api.depends-driven computes where recalculation is needed) can deduplicate identical product lines by summing quantities, or keep them itemized per your rule, and it validates that currency, pricelist, company, and fiscal position are compatible before anything is written. Each merged document carries Many2one/Many2many back-references to its sources, so the merge is always traceable and, where your process requires it, reversible.
Technically, the capability is delivered as a proper Odoo addon: a clean __manifest__.py declaring dependencies (sale, sale_management), models extending sale.order and sale.order.line, a TransientModel wizard for the merge selection and options, and QWeb-inspired button placement in the form and list views (XML/OWL) so the action sits naturally in the interface your team already uses. Access is governed by ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so only authorized roles can merge, and multi-company record rules keep the action inside the right company boundary. We wire the merged order into the standard delivery and invoicing flow so a single consolidated document drives one picking and one invoice, and we can expose the merge over the XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API for upstream systems that need to trigger consolidation programmatically. The module is built and tested for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, on Community or Enterprise, with the differences (for example Enterprise-only studio or subscription touchpoints) handled explicitly during scoping.
Delivery is build-to-order: after a short scoping call we confirm the exact merge rules, roles, and edge cases, then build against a staging copy of your database, run UAT with your team, and deploy with a rollback plan. Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. Pricing starts from $249 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-company consolidation, additional integrations (delivery/invoicing automation, external system triggers), localization depth, and data-migration volume increase the quoted scope. You receive a firm fixed quote after the scoping call — never a surprise.
Runs order desk workflows and needs repeat or multi-rep orders for the same customer consolidated cleanly, without manual re-keying or double discounts, and with a clear audit trail.
Handles high-volume accounts that raise many quotations across a period and wants them rolled into a single confirmed order that drives one delivery and one invoice.
Owns the internal Odoo instance and needs a maintainable, permission-controlled addon that respects multi-company rules and survives version upgrades rather than a fragile manual process.
Wants consolidated billing and reliable traceability from merged orders back to their sources so revenue, taxes, and analytic distribution reconcile without guesswork.
| Kriter | ECOSIRE | Özel Yapı | Rakip | Odoo Yerlisi |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Merge multiple orders into one | Purpose-built Merge action with configurable line rules | Possible but you design and maintain it yourself | Basic merge, fixed behavior you cannot change | |
| Line deduplication and validation | Sum-or-itemize plus pre-merge currency/company/pricelist checks | Only what your developer builds and tests | Limited, often no compatibility validation | |
| Source traceability / audit | Back-references and chatter logs on source and target | Depends on your implementation effort | Usually minimal or none | |
| Multi-company & security | Record rules and `ir.model.access.csv` scoped to your roles | You author and maintain the security matrix | Generic access, rarely multi-company aware | |
| Odoo version fit (17/18/19) | Built and tested for your exact version and edition | Whatever you target and retest each upgrade | Version support varies, may lag releases | |
| Fit to your workflow | Scoped to your merge rules and delivery/invoice flow | Fully bespoke but on your time and budget | Take-it-as-is, adapt your process to the app | |
| Support & handover | Support window plus Git repo and docs handover | Internal only, no external backup | Vendor support quality varies | |
| Total cost predictability | Indicative from-price, firm fixed quote after scoping | Open-ended dev time, hard to cap | Low upfront but rigid and hard to extend |
No. This is a build-to-order module. We scope your exact merge rules, build the addon against a staging copy of your database, run UAT, and deploy it. It is not an existing off-the-shelf download.
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. After the scoping call we agree the rules and edge cases, build and test on staging, then deploy with a rollback plan. Complex multi-company or integration work can extend the timeline, which we confirm in the quote.
Pricing starts from $249 as an indicative single-company base-scope figure. Drivers like multi-company consolidation, external integrations, localization depth, and data-migration volume affect the final number. After a short scoping call you receive a firm fixed quote — no open-ended billing.
Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes. We build and test for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0; when you upgrade Odoo we can provide a paid compatibility update. You also receive the Git repository so your own team can maintain it.
Yes. The module validates that customer, currency, pricelist, company, and fiscal position are compatible before merging, and multi-company record rules keep consolidation inside the correct boundary. Cross-company or cross-currency handling is scoped explicitly to match your policy.
No. The merged order is a standard `sale.order` that flows through Odoo's normal delivery and invoicing pipeline, so one consolidated document drives one picking and one invoice. Source orders can be auto-cancelled or flagged so nothing is fulfilled twice.
Yes. We can expose the merge over Odoo's XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API so an upstream system (a portal, marketplace connector, or middleware) can trigger consolidation programmatically, subject to the same access and validation rules as the UI.
