Most HR teams outgrow the stock Odoo employee record faster than they expect. The hr.employee model ships with the essentials — job position, department, work contacts, a handful of HR settings — but the moment you need to capture skills matrices, emergency contacts, visa and work-permit expiries, asset assignments, certifications with renewal dates, or bespoke onboarding checklists, you end up cramming everything into free-text notes or spreadsheets that live outside the system. That data can't be filtered, grouped, reported on, or exposed through the API, and it silently drifts out of date. This is where Odoo native runs out of road: the core module deliberately keeps the employee form lean, and settings-page toggles don't let you add first-class, validated, reportable fields.
The Employee Information Hub is a made-to-order Odoo module that ECOSIRE builds specifically around the fields and workflows your organization uses. Technically, we extend hr.employee (and, where it makes sense, related models like hr.department or hr.contract) via a clean inheriting module — new fields.Char, Selection, Date, Many2one, One2many, and Binary columns, plus compute / @api.depends fields for derived values such as age, tenure, or days-to-expiry. Structured data like emergency contacts, dependents, qualifications, or issued assets are modeled as their own child models exposed through One2many tabs, so each row is queryable rather than buried in a text blob. The form, list, kanban, and search views are extended with inherited XML so your new fields land in logical notebook pages, group-by filters, and smart-button counts — not bolted on as an afterthought.
Beyond the data model, we wire the behavior your team relies on. ir.model.access.csv rules plus record rules control who can read or edit sensitive fields (salary-adjacent, medical, document numbers), so managers see their team while HR admins see everyone. Automated actions and scheduled ir.cron jobs can flag documents nearing expiry, trigger activities on responsible users, or send reminder emails. QWeb reports produce printable employee profiles or compliance registers, and every new field is available over the XML-RPC / JSON-RPC API for integration with payroll, access-control, or a data warehouse. The module is packaged with a proper __manifest__.py, versioned for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, or 19.0, and works on Community or Enterprise (we confirm any Enterprise-only dependencies during scoping so nothing surprises you at install time).
Because this is build-to-order, nothing is downloaded and dropped in half-configured. After you request a quotation we run a short scoping call to lock the exact field set, sub-models, security matrix, and reports; from confirmed scope, typical delivery is 2–4 weeks. We build on a branch, hand you a staging environment for UAT, then install on production with a rollback plan and a git repo handover. Pricing starts from $249 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-company field isolation, deeper data migration from existing spreadsheets or a legacy HRIS, and extra integrations (payroll, biometric/access systems, BI) increase the quoted scope.
Runs employee records day to day and is tired of tracking visas, certifications, and emergency contacts in spreadsheets. Needs every attribute inside Odoo, filterable and report-ready, with reminders before documents expire.
Owns the Odoo instance and wants extensions delivered as a proper inheriting module with `__manifest__.py`, clean security rules, and a git handover — not fragile Studio tweaks — so upgrades and audits stay manageable.
Accountable for work-permit, right-to-work, and certification compliance. Needs field-level access control on sensitive data, automated expiry alerts, and printable registers for audits.
Consumes employee master data downstream and needs the new fields available over XML-RPC/JSON-RPC so payroll, BI, and access-control systems read a single source of truth.

| Delivery model | Built to your exact spec, installed and supported | Built from scratch by your team or a contractor | Generic download, configure it yourself | |
| Field flexibility | Any fields, sub-models, computes you define | Fully flexible but you design it all | Preset fields, limited to what the vendor shipped | |
| Security / access control | Field- and row-level rules tailored to your roles | As good as you build it | Basic groups, rarely field-level | |
| Expiry alerts & automation | Cron + automated actions for documents you track | Possible but you build the crons | Usually not included | |
| Reporting & API exposure | QWeb reports + XML-RPC/JSON-RPC on new fields | Whatever you implement | Limited, vendor-defined | |
| Upgrade safety (17/18/19) | Clean inheriting module, versioned per release | Depends on discipline; risk of core patches | Tied to vendor's release cadence | |

| Ownership & handover | Git repo handover; you own the code | You own it | Licensed vendor code, limited access |
No. This is a build-to-order Odoo module — ECOSIRE designs and builds it around your exact field set and workflows, then installs and supports it. There is no instant download; you request a quotation and we scope it with you first.
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. The timeline is set once we lock the fields, sub-models, security rules, and reports on the scoping call. Larger data migrations or multiple integrations can extend it, and we tell you that up front.
Pricing starts from $249 as an indicative figure for a single-company base scope. After a short scoping call we send a fixed written quote. Drivers like multi-company isolation, migrating data from spreadsheets or a legacy HRIS, and extra integrations increase the quoted scope.
We build for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0 on both Community and Enterprise. During scoping we confirm your version and edition and flag any Enterprise-only dependencies so the install holds no surprises.
Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and questions, plus a git repository handover so you own the code. Ongoing enhancements or a version upgrade (for example moving from 18.0 to 19.0) are quoted separately as follow-on work.
Yes. Because the fields are first-class Odoo columns, they are queryable, reportable via QWeb, and exposed over the XML-RPC / JSON-RPC API — so payroll, BI, or access-control systems can read them as a single source of truth.
Yes. We control visibility with `ir.model.access.csv` and record rules, and gate sensitive fields (document numbers, medical, salary-adjacent) to restricted HR security groups so managers see only their team while HR admins see everyone.
