Failed deliveries, return-to-sender freight and carrier address-correction surcharges are silent margin killers for e-commerce and distribution teams. Business Central validates that a Ship-to Address field is filled in — it does not check whether the address is real, deliverable, or classified correctly. This app closes that gap.
Address Validation & Delivery Verification is a custom AL extension that ECOSIRE builds, installs as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), and supports. It is not an instant Microsoft AppSource download — it is scoped, built, and deployed to your tenant so it fits your address conventions, carriers and regions.
The extension hooks into address entry on the Sales Order, Sales Quote, Customer Card and Ship-to Address records using table extensions and page extensions, with event subscribers firing OnValidate / OnAfterModify to validate addresses the moment a user tabs out of a field. A validation engine (Azure Maps, Google Address Validation, or your preferred provider — your choice and your API key) standardizes the address to postal-authority format, returns a deliverability verdict, geocodes latitude/longitude, classifies residential vs. commercial, and resolves the delivery zone.
Results are written to new fields on the address record and surfaced as FactBoxes and field-level notifications, so order-entry staff see surcharge-risk and undeliverable-address flags before posting. A duplicate-customer detection routine compares standardized addresses to catch the same buyer entered twice. Heavy/batch validation runs through the Job Queue, and everything is governed by a dedicated permission set. Optionally, validated geocodes flow to Dataverse / Power Platform for route and BI use.
You own the extension and the source. ECOSIRE delivers it on an honest lead time and supports it after go-live.
Runs high-volume online order fulfillment and is tired of return-to-sender freight and chargebacks from bad addresses. Wants undeliverable and residential-surcharge addresses caught at order entry, not discovered when the carrier bills back.
Owns shipping accuracy across a distribution operation. Needs every ship-to address standardized and geocoded so routing, zone rates and dock assignments are correct, and needs duplicate customers cleaned out of the master data.
Responsible for the BC tenant, extensions and security. Wants a clean per-tenant AL extension with a proper permission set, Job Queue integration and a Setup page they can retune without involving a developer.

This is a build-to-order extension, not an instant Microsoft AppSource download. After purchase ECOSIRE scopes your address conventions, carriers and regions, then builds and installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment. Typical lead time is about 2 to 4 weeks depending on which document/card pages you want validated and which validation provider you choose. We confirm a firm date during scoping kickoff.
You receive the full AL source and own the extension outright, so you are never locked in. ECOSIRE provides a post-go-live support window for defects and questions, and offers ongoing maintenance — including compatibility updates for Business Central's twice-yearly major releases (Wave 1 / Wave 2) and changes to your validation provider's API — as an optional retainer. We discuss the support arrangement before delivery so there are no surprises.
The extension is provider-pluggable. We commonly integrate Azure Maps or Google Address Validation, but we can wire it to another gateway you prefer. You supply and own the API key and quota, so the per-lookup validation cost is billed directly to you by the provider at their rates — there is no markup through ECOSIRE.
Yes. It is a standard AL per-tenant extension, so it deploys to Business Central online (SaaS) and to supported on-premises versions. Provider integration uses outbound HTTPS callouts, which work in both environments; on-prem simply requires that the server can reach the validation provider's endpoint.
No base-table data is destroyed. Validation results are stored in new fields added via table extensions and in a dedicated validation log table — your original address fields are only standardized when validation succeeds and your confidence threshold is met, and that behavior is configurable on the Setup page. All access is governed by a dedicated permission set, and the extension is installed under change control with your administrator.
