It is delivered as a per-tenant AL extension (table, page and codeunit objects plus event subscribers) so a cashier ringing up a sale writes straight to the same item ledger, sales documents and customer records your back office already uses. Stock decrements the moment the line is posted; there is no batch import, no middleware, no "two sources of truth."

The cashier screen is a touch-first Role Centre page: a scrollable product grid with configurable quick-keys, barcode and keyboard item entry, and live price and on-hand lookup against the item ledger entries. Checkout supports multi-tender — cash, an integrated card terminal, gift card and split payment across methods — and every transaction opens and closes against a till you define, with cash-drawer open/close, blind cash counting, and X and Z reports that tie out to the BC general ledger.
