Dynamics 365 Business Central ships with no India localization for payroll — there is no statutory deduction engine, no TDS slab logic, no ECR or challan output in the core product. This app closes that gap. ECOSIRE builds it as a per-tenant AL extension (not a generic AppSource download) and installs it directly into your Business Central online or on-premises environment.

The extension adds new tables and table extensions for employee statutory master data (UAN, ESIC number, PAN, PF/ESI applicability flags), page extensions on the Employee and Payroll cards, and a deduction engine driven by event subscribers so each pay run computes EPF (employee + employer + EPS split), ESI, Professional Tax by state slab, and Labour Welfare Fund. TDS is computed against current-year income-tax slabs with old/new regime selection, Chapter VI-A and investment-declaration inputs, producing data for Form 16 and quarterly 24Q returns. Gratuity (Payment of Gratuity Act) and statutory bonus (Payment of Bonus Act) are calculated and accrued.

Statutory outputs are generated as upload-ready files: the EPFO ECR text file, ESI contribution file, and PT/TDS challan working. An investment declaration and proof-submission workflow lets employees declare and HR verify before the freeze date. Posting integrates with the BC general ledger and dimensions; long pay runs use the job queue.

How long does delivery take and how is it installed?

This is build-to-order. After we confirm your operating states, CTC structure and statutory establishment codes, ECOSIRE engineers and validates the AL extension, then installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment (online or on-premises). Typical lead time is a few weeks depending on the number of states and the complexity of your CTC components; we share a firm date after scoping. There is no instant AppSource download — every build is fit to your tenant and go-live is reconciled against a parallel payroll run.

What does ongoing support and updates cover?

We support the extension on your environment: bug fixes, statutory updates when slab rates, ceilings or file formats change (for example PF wage ceiling, PT slab revisions, or 24Q schema changes), and compatibility patches as Microsoft ships new Business Central major versions. You receive the source code, so you are never locked out. Support terms and the update cadence are agreed at purchase.

Will this break when Microsoft updates Business Central?

No. It is built with AL using table extensions, page extensions and event subscribers — the supported extensibility model — so it layers on top of the base app rather than modifying it. When Microsoft releases a new BC version we test the extension against it and ship a compatibility patch if anything in the platform API changes.

Does it post to the Business Central general ledger?

Yes. Each pay run posts net pay, statutory liabilities (PF, ESI, PT, TDS), and gratuity/bonus accruals to the GL with your dimension mapping, so finance sees payroll cost and statutory dues in the same ledger as the rest of the business. Payslips are generated per employee.

Can payroll and statutory data feed Power BI or the Power Platform?

Yes. We can expose payslip and statutory figures through Business Central's OData/REST API or surface them into Dataverse, so you can build Power BI dashboards or Power Apps/Power Automate flows on top of the payroll data. This is configured as an optional part of the build.
