Variant management the way the apparel trade actually works

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central handles item variants, but it makes you enter them one line at a time on every sales, purchase and transfer order. For a fashion brand carrying a style in eight colors and seven sizes, that is 56 lines typed by hand for a single style. The Apparel & Footwear Matrix Pack replaces that grind with a true style/color/size matrix grid, plus the seasonal merchandising structure that core BC simply does not model.

This is not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE builds the extension in AL against your exact Business Central version, installs it as a per-tenant extension on your environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), configures it to your variant dimensions, and supports it after go-live.

What we build

We deliver matrix entry as page extensions on the Sales, Purchase and Transfer Order documents, backed by new AL tables for Season, Collection, and Size Range/Curve templates. Quantities entered in the matrix are written back to standard BC item ledger entries through documented APIs — no shadow inventory, so your costing, item availability and financials stay native and auditable.

Season and collection fields extend the Item table and flow onto documents and analysis views so you can slice sales by season the way merchandisers think. Size-range templates let buyers apply a size curve (e.g. 1-2-3-3-2-1) across a colorway in one action. Matrix availability and replenishment views read live BC inventory. Optional GS1-compliant variant barcode generation writes back to the item reference / barcode table.

Because it is standard AL with permission sets, event subscribers and job queue entries, it upgrades cleanly with your monthly BC updates and integrates with Power Platform / Dataverse if you need it.
