Referral Program & Word-of-Mouth Engine is a custom Shopify app that ECOSIRE builds, installs, and supports for your store — it is not an instant App Store download. After purchase we connect to your store via a Shopify OAuth flow with scoped access (read_customers, read_orders, write_discounts, write_price_rules), then tailor the referral logic to your products, themes, and reward economics.

Every customer gets a unique referral link and a personal discount code generated through the Admin GraphQL API (discountCodeBasicCreate / priceRuleCreate). When a referred friend converts, an orders/create webhook fires into the app, which attributes the sale, validates it against fraud rules, and triggers dual-sided rewards — store credit, a discount, or a fixed payout for the advocate, and a welcome discount for the friend.

We persist referral state in customer and order metafields (namespace ecosire.referral) so your data lives inside your own Shopify store, not locked in a third-party silo. Post-purchase prompts appear on the order-status page and in transactional emails, asking happy buyers to share at their moment of highest satisfaction.

Fraud and self-referral detection flags matching emails, shared payment fingerprints, same-device signups, and velocity spikes before any reward is paid. A referral leaderboard and embeddable share widgets (email, WhatsApp, X, copy-link) ship as theme app extensions so nothing breaks on theme updates.

Because this is build-to-order, the reward structure, branding, email copy, and edge cases are configured for your business — and ECOSIRE handles the deployment, QA on your live theme, and post-launch support. Honest expectations: there is a delivery lead time, and the engagement is a real implementation, not a one-click install.
