How long does delivery take, since this is build-to-order?
This is custom-built and installed for your store, not an instant download. Typical delivery is about 5 to 10 business days from when you provide PSP access and store collaborator access. The main variable is your PSP account: if your Mollie or Adyen account is already approved with iDEAL and Bancontact enabled, we move faster; if the account still needs onboarding or verification, that PSP-side review can add time outside our control. We confirm a firm timeline after a short scoping call.
What ongoing support and updates are included?
Every build includes a defined post-launch support window for fixes, questions, and adjustments. Because the integration depends on Shopify's APIs and your PSP's webhooks, we also handle breakage caused by Shopify Admin API or Mollie/Adyen platform changes during that window. After it ends, you can keep us on a support arrangement for continued monitoring and updates, or run it independently using the runbook we hand over.
Do I need a Mollie or Adyen account, and who pays the transaction fees?
Yes — iDEAL and Bancontact are processed through a certified PSP, and you own that account directly. This means the per-transaction rates and any PSP fees are between you and Mollie or Adyen; ECOSIRE does not mark up or take a cut of your processing. We help you choose between the two based on your volume and region and configure whichever you select.
Will customers be confident the payment actually went through?
Yes. We rely on PSP webhooks for real-time confirmation, so a Shopify order is only marked paid after the customer's bank confirms the iDEAL or Bancontact transaction. We never optimistically mark orders paid on redirect alone, and webhook handling is idempotent so PSP retries can't double-process or duplicate an order.
Can this coexist with my existing payment methods like cards or PayPal?
Yes. iDEAL and Bancontact are added as additional methods alongside whatever you already run. Shoppers in the Netherlands and Belgium see the local options they expect, while your existing card, PayPal, or other methods remain available for everyone else.
