Self-Checkout & Second Screen turns a tablet or paired display at your counter into a real customer-facing experience for Shopify POS — and, where your hardware and staffing model allow, into a self-scan, self-pay kiosk that lets shoppers ring themselves through.

This is not an instant App Store download. ECOSIRE builds, installs, and supports this app for your specific store, hardware, and locations. We scope your setup, embed against the Shopify POS UI Extension surfaces and the Admin GraphQL API, wire multi-location inventory so prices and stock are correct per store, and hand you a working, branded experience.

The second screen mirrors the live cart line-by-line: itemized products, quantities, unit and extended prices, discounts, and running totals — full price transparency as the cashier scans. Between transactions it loops promotional content (banners, featured collections, store messaging) so idle screen time becomes merchandising.

In kiosk mode, the customer-facing tablet becomes the till: barcode self-scan, cart review, self-pay through your existing Shopify Payments terminal flow, plus on-screen tip prompts, loyalty enrollment/lookup, signature capture, and email capture for receipts and marketing consent. Orders are created through the same Shopify order and webhook pipeline your back office already trusts — no shadow ledger.

Is this an instant Shopify App Store download?

No. This is a build-to-order app. ECOSIRE custom-builds it for your store, hardware, and locations, then installs it on your Shopify account. You are buying the build and setup, not a self-serve download. We scope your needs first and embed against Shopify POS UI Extensions and the Admin GraphQL API specifically for you.

How long until it's delivered and installed?

After purchase we start with a short scoping session to confirm your hardware, locations, and which features to enable. A typical build, install, and test cycle runs about 2 to 4 weeks depending on how many locations you have and whether full self-checkout kiosk mode is in scope. We give you a firm timeline during scoping, not a vague promise.

What ongoing support and updates are included?

Your purchase includes a post-launch support window for fixes, configuration adjustments, and compatibility updates when Shopify changes its POS extension or Admin API surfaces. Because we install and maintain the app for you, we can update it directly. Extended or ongoing support beyond the initial window is available and we'll quote it transparently.

Does self-checkout work with my existing Shopify Payments setup?

Self-pay routes through your existing Shopify POS payment flow and terminal hardware rather than a separate payment processor. Whether full unattended self-pay is practical depends on your card-reader hardware and how you want to handle attended versus unattended checkout, which we confirm during scoping. Orders are always created through Shopify's standard order pipeline.

Will orders, inventory, and taxes stay accurate across my locations?

Yes. The app is multi-location inventory aware and creates orders through Shopify's standard order and webhook pipeline, so stock decrements, tax rules, discounts, and reporting behave exactly as your back office expects per location. Configuration is stored in metafields, and we test each location before handoff.
