Bu Ürün Hakkında
On a paper-based shop floor, the gap between what actually happened at a work center and what ERPNext knows about it is measured in hours, sometimes a full shift. Operators scribble quantities on travelers, a supervisor keys them into the Job Card at end of day, and by then scrap has already compounded, a stoppage nobody logged has eaten the schedule, and the Work Order completed-qty is a guess. ERPNext ships a capable manufacturing core — Work Order, Job Card, Operation, Workstation, BOM-driven material consumption — but the stock Job Card form is a desk-and-keyboard interface. It was never meant for a greasy-fingered operator standing at a machine with a tablet, and it has no first-class concept of a downtime reason, an inline quality gate at a specific operation, or a badge/PIN kiosk login.
ECOSIRE builds a dedicated Frappe app — a proper module with its own hooks.py, DocTypes, server scripts and client scripts — that sits on top of your existing ERPNext manufacturing data without forking core. The heart of it is a full-screen, touch-first terminal page (a Frappe web/portal page plus supporting client scripts) that binds directly to the standard Job Card and its Job Card Time Log child table. An operator taps Start and we open a time log via the start_job/complete_job whitelisted methods; Pause and Complete write back through the same audited path so your Work Order operation times, for_quantity, total_completed_qty and process_loss_qty stay canonical. Good, scrap and rework quantities are captured on the same screen with large numeric keypads and posted straight to the Job Card, so manufactured_qty and scrap reconcile the moment the operation ends — not at midnight.
Under the hood we add the pieces ERPNext core leaves out. A Shop Floor Downtime Log DocType (linked to Workstation and Job Card) with a configurable Downtime Reason master lets operators tap a reason — changeover, breakdown, material starvation, no operator — the instant a machine stops, which is what makes real OEE reporting possible later. Inline Quality Inspection prompts are wired to specific operations so the terminal refuses to let an operator complete a step until the required tests (against your Quality Inspection Template readings) are entered and pass/fail-recorded. Operator identity is handled by a badge-scan or PIN login that resolves to an Employee/User, honoring Frappe role profiles and permissions so a terminal only exposes the work centers that operator is assigned to. Everything the terminal does travels over the Frappe REST API and whitelisted server methods, secured by the same permission layer as the rest of your site — no bypass of ERPNext's access controls.
Because it is a real Frappe app and not a hacked-in script, it upgrades cleanly with the rest of your bench, supports Frappe/ERPNext v15 and v16, and coexists with a scheduler event that can, for example, auto-close orphaned time logs or push a shift-summary. Doc events in hooks.py keep the terminal's writes consistent with any downstream automation you already run on Job Cards.
This is a build-to-order engagement, not an app-store download. It starts with a short scoping call where we map your work centers, operation flow, quality checkpoints and downtime taxonomy to the exact terminal behavior you need. We then build your version, test it on a staging bench against your data, run UAT with your operators, and install it on your production site. Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope, and you receive the full source code and git repository so you are never locked to us.
Ne elde edeceksin

- Post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration adjustments
- Full git repository handover so you own and can extend the code with no vendor lock-in
- Role-profile and permission configuration so terminals expose only the assigned work centers to each operator
Bu kimin için
Operations Manager digitizing a paper floor
Runs a shop still on travelers and end-of-day data entry. Needs live completed-qty, scrap and downtime in ERPNext without retraining operators on the full desk UI, and wants the numbers to reconcile against Work Orders in real time.
Manufacturing Systems / ERPNext Administrator
Owns the ERPNext instance and is wary of bolt-ons that break on upgrade. Wants a clean Frappe app with proper DocTypes, hooks and permissions, source code in a git repo, and v15/v16 compatibility rather than one-off client-script hacks.
Production / Quality Supervisor
Accountable for scrap, first-pass yield and schedule adherence. Needs inline quality gates at the right operations and a real downtime taxonomy so OEE and yield reporting rest on captured data, not guesses.
COO / Plant Director evaluating MES options
Weighing a heavyweight third-party MES against extending ERPNext. Wants shop-floor execution living inside the same system as BOMs, inventory and costing, delivered fast and owned outright.
Shop Floor MES Terminal (Tablet Job Execution) Nasıl Karşılaştırılır
| Kriter | ECOSIRE | Özel Yapı | Rakip | ERPNext Yerleşik |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fit to your shop floor | Built to your work centers, operations and downtime taxonomy from a scoping call | Fully bespoke but you define and manage every requirement | Generic screens; you bend your process to the app | Desk Job Card form, not designed for floor operators |
| Tablet/kiosk UX | Full-screen touch terminal with large keypads and barcode scan | Depends entirely on your build effort | Varies; often desktop-first or partial touch | Keyboard-and-mouse desk UI, poor for machines |
| Downtime capture | Dedicated `Shop Floor Downtime Log` with configurable reason master | Build it yourself from scratch | Sometimes included, rarely ERPNext-linked | No first-class downtime reason concept |
| Inline quality gates | Operation-level `Quality Inspection` prompts that block completion until passed | Possible but you design and wire the gating | Limited or add-on module | Quality Inspection exists but not gated at the terminal step |
| Operator identity | Badge/PIN login mapped to Employee with role-scoped work centers | Your responsibility to design securely | Often shared login or basic PIN only | Standard desk user session, not floor-oriented |
| Upgrade safety | Clean Frappe app on hooks/DocTypes; upgrades with your bench | Risk depends on your engineering discipline | Depends on vendor's upgrade cadence | Native, but lacks the terminal capability entirely |
| Ownership | Full source code and git repo handover, no lock-in | You own it, but carry all build and maintenance | Licensed; source often closed | Open source, but feature does not exist |
| Time to value | Typically one working week from confirmed scope | Months of in-house build and iteration | Fast to install, slow to actually fit | Available now, but manual and end-of-shift |
Shop Floor MES Terminal hakkında Sıkça Sorulan Sorular
How long does delivery take?
This is a build-to-order app, not an instant download. After a scoping call to confirm your work centers, operations, quality checkpoints and downtime reasons, typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope — including a build phase, UAT on a staging bench and production installation. Larger or more customized scopes are estimated during scoping.
Is this an existing app I can just download and install?
No. ECOSIRE builds your version to your shop floor's flow, then installs it as a standard Frappe app on your bench. You are not downloading a generic marketplace listing — you receive source code and a git repository built and tested against your ERPNext setup.
How are updates and support handled?
Every engagement includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration adjustments. Because it ships as a proper Frappe app with clean DocTypes and hooks, it upgrades alongside your bench across Frappe/ERPNext v15 and v16. Ongoing support or enhancement retainers are available after the initial window; you own the code either way.
Does it modify or fork ERPNext core?
No. It is a separate Frappe app that binds to the standard `Job Card`, `Work Order`, `Workstation` and `Quality Inspection` DocTypes via whitelisted methods, server scripts and hooks.py doc events. Your writes stay canonical in ERPNext, so upgrades and other automations are not disrupted.
How do operators log in on a shared tablet?
The terminal uses badge-scan or PIN login that resolves to an ERPNext `Employee`/`User`, so there is no shared desktop session. Frappe role profiles and permissions scope each terminal to only the work centers that operator is assigned to, and every start, pause, complete, scrap and downtime action is attributed to the individual.
Will scrap, downtime and quality data reconcile with our reports?
Yes. Good/scrap/rework quantities post directly to the Job Card so `manufactured_qty` and `process_loss_qty` reconcile at operation close. Downtime is captured against a `Shop Floor Downtime Log` linked to the workstation, and quality is recorded through `Quality Inspection`, giving you a clean data foundation for OEE, yield and downtime reporting.
Which versions of ERPNext do you support?
The app targets Frappe/ERPNext v15 and v16 and is installed on your existing bench. During scoping we confirm your exact version and site setup so the build and UAT run against a matching staging environment.
