Store Uptime & Change Monitoring is a Shopify app ECOSIRE builds to order for higher-volume merchants who can't afford a silent outage or a bad edit slipping into production. This is not an instant App Store install — we scope it to your theme, apps and operational risks, then build, deploy and support it as a custom embedded Shopify app.

The app runs synthetic uptime checks against your storefront, collection pages, product pages and the full checkout flow on an interval you choose, so you find out a 500 or a stalled checkout exists before a customer does. When something breaks, you get incident notifications via email and Slack with the failing URL, HTTP status and response time — not a vague "site down" ping.

Beyond uptime, it watches for dangerous changes. Using Shopify Admin GraphQL API and webhooks (products/update, inventory_levels/update, themes/update), it detects bulk price and product edits, sudden inventory swings across multi-location inventory, and theme/asset changes that could break your layout — then alerts the right person and writes everything to a historical status timeline you can audit later.

Automated QA tests replay your critical journeys — add-to-cart, discount code, checkout reach — on a schedule, so a broken variant or a misconfigured app is caught at 3am, not in your next revenue report.

Installed via a least-privilege OAuth scope set, the app stores its config and per-store thresholds in metafields and an ECOSIRE-managed datastore. What Shopify permissions does the app need?

It installs via OAuth using a least-privilege scope set — typically read access to products, inventory, themes and orders plus the webhook subscriptions needed for change detection. It does not request write scopes it doesn't use. We document every requested scope at handover so you know exactly what it can access.

Can it alert me about bad bulk edits, not just downtime?

Yes. Using the Admin GraphQL API and products/update, inventory_levels/update and themes/update webhooks, it detects bulk price and product changes, large multi-location inventory swings, and theme or asset changes.
