COD is where a lot of stores in India, MENA, and Southeast Asia quietly lose margin — high RTO (return-to-origin) rates, low-value COD orders that cost more to ship than they earn, and zero ability to steer customers toward prepaid. COD Fee & Rules Manager is a Shopify app ECOSIRE builds, installs, and supports for your specific store to put that economics back under your control.

This is build-to-order, not an instant App Store download. After purchase, ECOSIRE scopes your COD rules, builds the app against your theme and checkout, installs it via OAuth on your store, and hands you an admin you can actually operate.

What it does on your store: - Adds a configurable COD surcharge (flat or percentage) applied at checkout and recorded on the order. - Enforces minimum and maximum order-value rules so you stop accepting unprofitable COD carts. - Gates COD availability by pincode/postal zone — disable COD where RTO is highest, allow it where it converts. - Applies product-tag and customer-tag conditions (e.g. block COD on heavy/fragile SKUs, allow it for repeat buyers). - Optionally requires a partial advance payment to confirm COD orders, cutting fake/abandoned deliveries. - Shows clear checkout messaging so customers understand fees and eligibility before they commit.

What happens after delivery — do I get support and updates?

Yes. Every build includes a post-delivery support window for fixes and adjustments. Because Shopify periodically changes checkout and API behavior, we also offer an optional ongoing maintenance plan that keeps the app working through Shopify platform updates and lets you request rule changes over time.

Can it actually disable COD by pincode or zone?

Yes. We load your zone or pincode rules and evaluate the customer's shipping context to allow or block COD at checkout. The exact checkout mechanism depends on your Shopify plan — Checkout UI extensions and Functions on plans that support them, or a theme-based approach otherwise.
