This is a build-to-order Shopify app: ECOSIRE designs, develops, installs, and supports it for your specific store, tax setup, and Access Point. It is not an instant App Store download. After purchase we scope your requirements, connect your data, and deliver a working integration.
What it does. The app listens to your store's orders/create and orders/paid webhooks, reads order, customer, tax, and line-item data through the Admin GraphQL API, and generates a UBL 2.1 BIS Billing 3.0 XML invoice. It runs the document through EN 16931 business-rule validation before anything is sent, so malformed invoices are caught early rather than rejected downstream. Valid documents are handed to your chosen Peppol Access Point for routing to the recipient's Peppol Participant ID, with recipient ID lookup against the SML/SMP directory. Each invoice can also be rendered as a ZUGFeRD / Factur-X hybrid PDF — a human-readable PDF with the structured XML embedded — for buyers who want both.
Status, Peppol message IDs, and validation results are written back to order metafields so your team has a clear audit trail inside Shopify Admin. We honour your VAT rules, multi-currency setup, and B2B company/tax-ID capture. You bring (or we help you select) a certified Peppol Access Point; the app handles everything on the Shopify side.

+Do I need a Peppol Access Point, and do you provide one?
Yes, a certified Peppol Access Point is required to route documents on the network, and ECOSIRE is not itself an Access Point. The app integrates with the provider of your choice. We can recommend established providers and handle the full technical integration, but the Access Point subscription is a separate service you contract directly with that provider.
+Does this work with Shopify's native invoicing or existing invoice apps?
Shopify has no native Peppol or structured e-invoicing feature, and most App Store invoice apps only produce PDFs. This app is purpose-built for the structured UBL BIS Billing 3.0 / EN 16931 flow over the Peppol network. It can run alongside your existing PDF/receipt tooling — they serve different purposes.
+What happens if an invoice fails validation or is rejected?
Every invoice is validated against EN 16931 business rules before it is sent, so most issues are caught up front. If a document still fails or is rejected by the Access Point, the error and status are written to the order's metafields and surfaced in Admin, with retry logic so your team can correct and resend rather than silently losing the invoice.
