Radiology departments live in the gap between a hospital's clinical systems and its business ERP. Imaging orders arrive by phone, referral, or paper; modality slots are juggled on whiteboards or spreadsheets; report turnaround is invisible until a clinician complains; and none of it reconciles cleanly with the invoicing, insurance, and inventory sides of Odoo. Out of the box, Odoo has no concept of a radiology order, a modality, an accession number, a reading worklist, or a structured radiology report — so teams end up bolting the workflow onto generic project tasks or helpdesk tickets that were never designed for imaging throughput or turnaround-time governance.
New `radiology.order` model linking patient (`res.partner`), referring physician, ordered exam, and priority (STAT/urgent/routine)
Sequenced accession numbers per order via `ir.sequence`, unique and audit-friendly across sites
Documented order state machine (`draft` → `scheduled` → `acquired` → `preliminary` → `final`) with guarded `fields.Selection` transitions
Modality registry (`radiology.modality`) for CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and mammography rooms with capacity and availability
Examination catalogue (`radiology.exam`) with body-part, protocol, contrast flags, and default duration metadata
Calendar-based modality scheduling view to book slots and prevent double-booking per room
We build a dedicated Radiology Management module on top of your Odoo. At its core are new ORM models — a radiology order (radiology.order) linked to res.partner (patient) and the referring physician, a modality registry (radiology.modality) for CT/MRI/X-ray/ultrasound rooms, an examination catalogue (radiology.exam) carrying body-part and protocol metadata, and a report record (radiology.report) that holds findings, impression, sign-off, and an addendum trail. Each order is stamped with a sequenced accession number via ir.sequence, moved through a documented state machine (draft → scheduled → acquired → preliminary → final) built with fields.Selection and guarded transition methods, and its turnaround time is a stored @api.depends compute so you can report on it rather than guess. Reading worklists are ordinary filtered/grouped views, so radiologists see their queue by modality, priority (STAT vs routine), and status without leaving Odoo.
Technically, the module ships as a proper addon with its own __manifest__.py, migration-safe data files, and clean separation of concerns. Access is locked down with ir.model.access.csv for role groups (front-desk, technologist, radiologist, department manager) plus record rules so a technologist sees the acquisition worklist while a radiologist owns sign-off — and, where you run multi-site, record rules scope each site's orders. Views are XML (list, form, kanban worklist, calendar for modality scheduling) with OWL widgets where an interaction genuinely needs them; a QWeb PDF template produces the signed radiology report on your letterhead; and Odoo automated actions / scheduled crons handle escalations such as flagging STAT studies breaching their turnaround SLA. Because everything is native ORM, your PACS, RIS, or HL7 middleware can push and pull orders and results over the standard XML-RPC / JSON-RPC API rather than a bespoke bridge. We target Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, and we tell you honestly where a capability leans on Enterprise features (e.g., advanced dashboards) versus what runs on Community.
This is a build-to-order engagement, not an existing apps.odoo.com download. After a short scoping call we confirm your exact workflow, roles, integrations, and Odoo version, then engineer, install, and support the module — typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. Pricing starts from $299 (indicative, single-company base scope); PACS/RIS/HL7 integration depth, DICOM-adjacent worklist requirements, multi-site record-rule scoping, and historical data migration volume increase the quoted scope. You receive a fixed quote after the scoping call, never a surprise invoice.
Runs a standalone or multi-room imaging center on Odoo and needs order intake, modality scheduling, and report turnaround visibility in one system instead of spreadsheets and whiteboards.
Owns the Odoo platform and wants radiology handled as a proper native addon with clean security, record rules, and an API surface for the existing PACS/RIS rather than an ungoverned bolt-on.
Accountable for STAT SLA compliance and reading-queue throughput; needs worklists by priority and reportable turnaround metrics to manage radiologist workload.
Signs off reports and wants a structured report record with impression, addendum trail, and a clean PDF on letterhead, driven from their own filtered worklist.

| Critério | ECOSIRE | Construção personalizada | Concorrente | Odoo nativo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fit to radiology workflow | Purpose-built to your confirmed scope — orders, modalities, worklists, sign-off | Whatever you specify, but you own analysis and design | Generic imaging assumptions; may not match your rooms or protocols | |
| Accession & state machine | Sequenced accession via `ir.sequence` + guarded state transitions | Buildable but you design and test the workflow yourself | Fixed states you cannot easily change | |
| Security & multi-site | Role groups in `ir.model.access.csv` + record rules scoped to site | Depends entirely on your developer's rigor | Basic groups; site scoping often absent | |
| PACS/RIS/HL7 integration | Native ORM exposed over XML-RPC/JSON-RPC; runbook provided | Possible but bespoke and unmaintained | Rarely included; usually out of scope | |
| Turnaround SLA reporting | Stored `@api.depends` compute + cron escalations for STAT breaches | You build the metrics and alerts | Limited or no SLA governance | |
| Signed report output | QWeb PDF on your letterhead with impression and addendum trail | Design and template work on you | Fixed template, hard to rebrand | |
| Support & version upgrades | Post-go-live window + optional 17/18/19 upgrade retainer | Whoever built it must be retained | Vendor-paced; may lag Odoo releases | |
| Cost model | Indicative from $299, fixed quote after scoping call | Open-ended time & materials | Low sticker price, gaps close via paid customization |
No. This is a build-to-order engagement. We engineer the Radiology Management module to your confirmed scope, then install and support it. It is not an existing apps.odoo.com download, and we never claim an instant download.
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. After the scoping call we agree the workflow, roles, integrations, and Odoo version, then build on a staging database, run UAT, and deploy to production.
Pricing starts from $299 as an indicative single-company base scope. The scoping call establishes your exact requirements — integrations, multi-site record rules, data migration — and we then issue a fixed quote. You approve the fixed price before any build work begins.
We support Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0. The core radiology workflow runs on Community. Where a capability leans on Enterprise (for example advanced dashboards or certain widgets), we tell you honestly during scoping so you can decide.
Yes. Because the module is native Odoo ORM, orders and results can be pushed and pulled over the standard XML-RPC / JSON-RPC API. Integration depth (DICOM worklist, HL7 message mapping) is a scoping driver and affects the quote.
Every engagement includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration questions. Beyond that we offer ongoing support and version-upgrade retainers, since Odoo major versions change yearly — we can maintain the module across 17/18/19 upgrades.
Yes. You receive the installable source and a git repository handover with tagged releases and commit history for your version, so you are never locked to us.
