The extension adds carrier configuration pages (table and page extensions plus new setup tables) where you register DHL, FedEx, UPS, DPD and additional carrier accounts, map service levels, and store API credentials securely using Business Central's Isolated Storage. A "Get Rates" action calls each enabled carrier's rate API in parallel, ranks the results, and lets the shipper pick or auto-select the cheapest compliant service. "Create Label" books the shipment, retrieves the carrier label (ZPL or PDF), and streams it straight to your warehouse label printer. The returned tracking number and cost are written back to the source document via event subscribers — and, where you sell on marketplaces, pushed outward through the BC REST/OData v4 API or your existing marketplace connector so the buyer gets fulfillment notification automatically.
International orders generate the required commercial invoice and customs declaration data (HS codes, country of origin, declared value) from item and order fields you already maintain. Heavy rate and booking calls run through the BC Job Queue so the UI stays responsive.
