Recursos Principais

Field, plot and crop-cycle master data as native AL tables, with table and page extensions surfaced inside the Business Central role center and item card
Field-level cost capture posting to dedicated Dimensions and season-based cost centers so seed, fertilizer, water and labor roll up per plot and to the GL together
Livestock and herd management: animal register, breeding and lineage, health/vaccination events, weight and feed-consumption tracking
Farm-input inventory (seed, feed, chemicals) modeled on standard Item and Item Ledger Entry for real BC valuation, lot tracking and expiry dates
Harvest yield capture as lot/batch-tracked items giving full field-to-bin traceability back to plot, inputs and season
Season-based cost centers and crop-cycle close with per-cycle profitability (revenue vs. accumulated input, labor and overhead cost)
Event subscribers that hook native sales, purchase and inventory posting so farm transactions stay consistent with core Business Central flows
Job Queue tasks for automated season roll-ups, cost allocation and recurring herd/feed batch jobs
Dedicated permission sets for farm manager, field operator and finance roles, layered on Business Central security
REST/OData API endpoints exposing plots, crops, herds and harvest lots for Power BI dashboards and field-data capture apps
Optional Dataverse / Power Platform integration for Power Apps mobile field entry and Power Automate alerts
Traceability and yield reports plus an analysis-ready dataset for cost-per-hectare and cost-per-head reporting

Sobre este Produto

Most agribusinesses run Business Central for finance and inventory but then track field costs, herd records and harvest yields in spreadsheets that never reconcile to the general ledger. Agriculture & Farm Management for Business Central closes that gap with a custom AL extension that models your farm operation natively inside Business Central.

This is a build-to-order extension, not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE scopes your operation (crops, livestock, plots, seasons), builds the AL extension to fit it, installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central Online or on-premises environment, and supports it afterward. Typical delivery is a few weeks, depending on scope.

The extension adds new tables and table/page extensions for fields, plots and crop cycles, with field-level cost capture that posts to dedicated Dimensions and season-based cost centers — so every seed, fertilizer and labor entry rolls up against the right plot and the GL at the same time. Livestock and herd records track animals, breeding, health events and feed consumption. Farm inputs (seed, feed, chemicals) live in standard Item/Item Ledger so you keep real Business Central inventory valuation, lot tracking and expiry.

Harvest output is captured as lot/batch-tracked items, giving you field-to-bin traceability — trace any harvested lot back to its plot, inputs and season. Event subscribers keep posting consistent with native sales, purchase and inventory flows; the Job Queue runs season roll-ups; permission sets scope farm roles; and the BC REST/OData API plus optional Dataverse/Power Platform integration expose the data to Power BI and field-data apps. You own the source and the extension; ECOSIRE maintains it across Business Central updates.

O que você ganha

  • A per-tenant Business Central AL extension (.app) built to your crop, livestock and season model, installed on your environment
  • Full AL source code (tables, table/page extensions, codeunits, event subscribers, permission sets) handed over to you
  • Configured Dimensions, season-based cost centers and crop-cycle setup mapped to your chart of accounts
  • Permission sets for farm manager, field operator and finance roles, assigned to your users
  • REST/OData API endpoints (and optional Dataverse entities) documented for Power BI and field apps
  • Job Queue entries configured for season roll-ups and recurring farm batch jobs
  • Admin and end-user documentation plus a handover/training session, and post-go-live support with updates across Business Central releases

Para quem é isso

Farm Finance / Operations Lead

Owns the P&L for the agribusiness and needs field and herd costs to reconcile to the Business Central GL instead of living in spreadsheets, with real cost-per-hectare and cost-per-head visibility per season.

Farm / Production Manager

Plans crop cycles and livestock operations and wants plot-level input usage, harvest yields and herd health tracked in one system that field staff can update from mobile.

Business Central Administrator / IT Lead

Responsible for the tenant and wants farm functionality delivered as a clean, supportable per-tenant AL extension with proper permission sets and API access — not unmanaged customizations that break on the next update.

Perguntas frequentes sobre Agriculture & Farm Management for Business Central

Is this an instant AppSource download?

No. This is a build-to-order extension. ECOSIRE scopes your operation, builds the AL extension to fit your crops, livestock and seasons, then installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment. It is not a one-click AppSource app.

How long does delivery take?

Typical delivery is a few weeks from kickoff, depending on scope — the number of crop and livestock types, your costing and dimension model, and any Power Platform or Power BI integration. After scoping we give you a firm timeline before any build work starts.

How does ongoing support and updates work?

ECOSIRE supports the extension after go-live and maintains it across Business Central monthly and major releases, so your farm functionality keeps working when Microsoft updates the platform. Support covers bug fixes, compatibility updates and small enhancements under an agreed plan; larger new features are scoped separately.

Will field and livestock costs actually reach the general ledger?

Yes. Inputs are modeled on standard Item and Item Ledger Entry, and field/herd costs post through Dimensions and season-based cost centers. That means valuation, inventory and cost roll-ups use native Business Central posting and reconcile to the GL — not a side spreadsheet.

Do we own the code, and can it integrate with Power BI or mobile field apps?

You own the full AL source we hand over. The extension exposes plots, crops, herds and harvest lots via the Business Central REST/OData API, and we can add Dataverse / Power Platform integration so Power BI dashboards and Power Apps mobile field-entry apps read and write the same data.
