At its core, the hub makes Shopify the single source of truth for stock. It reads and writes through the Shopify Admin GraphQL API and uses multi-location inventory so on-hand and available quantities stay accurate across every sales channel. We register webhooks (orders/create, inventory_levels/update, fulfillments/create, products/update) so changes propagate in near real time instead of overnight batch jobs, and we store channel mappings and routing rules in metafields so configuration lives with your data, not in a black box.
