Your controllers and FP&A analysts already live in Excel. The problem is the data: today they export static CSVs, paste them into models, and re-key numbers that are stale the moment they're saved. Excel-Native Financial Reporting for Business Central closes that gap. It is a custom AL extension that ECOSIRE builds for your tenant and installs directly on your Business Central environment, so your existing Excel workbooks pull live figures straight from BC over the OData V4 / REST API — no exports, no manual refresh, no copy-paste.

We expose your General Ledger entries, dimensions, budgets, and operational tables through purpose-built API pages and queries (page and query objects authored in AL), then wire them into Excel via a managed data connection and a Power Query layer. Analysts build P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements once against named account schedules, and refresh them on demand or on a schedule. Every cell is drillable: double-click a figure to see the underlying G/L entries, document numbers, and dimension values that compose it.

Because it ships as a per-tenant extension (not a one-size AppSource app), the data model, account groupings, dimension filters, and consolidation rules match your chart of accounts — not a generic template. Multi-company consolidation rolls up across your BC companies with currency handling you define. Scheduled refresh and distribution run via the BC Job Queue, emailing finished workbooks to stakeholders.

No. This is a build-to-order engagement. ECOSIRE develops a custom per-tenant extension tailored to your chart of accounts and dimensions, then installs it on your Business Central environment. There is no instant AppSource download — and that is deliberate, because the data model and consolidation rules are matched to your tenant rather than a generic template.

What is the typical delivery lead time?

After a short scoping call, a standard build is usually delivered in roughly 2 to 4 weeks: requirements and account-schedule mapping, AL development of the API pages and queries, deployment to your BC sandbox for UAT, then production install and team training. Can the same data feed Power BI or Power Apps, not just Excel?
