Fonctionnalités clés

COGS input per product and per variation — material, labor and inbound shipping stored in WooCommerce product meta
Cost snapshotted onto each order line at sale time (via woocommerce_checkout_create_order_line_item) so historical margins survive price and cost changes
Profit and margin columns added to the wp-admin Orders list and product list with sortable, filterable values
HPOS / WooCommerce custom-order-tables compatible — no reliance on legacy post-meta order storage
True Profit & Loss report page under the WooCommerce menu: revenue − COGS − fees − shipping − ad spend
Payment-gateway fee capture parsed from Stripe / PayPal order metadata for accurate net-of-fees profit
Inventory valuation dashboard: purchase value, COGS value, retail value and units in stock across the catalog
Ad-spend and ROI tracking per channel, with contribution-margin per order
Bulk COGS import/export via CSV and full read/write through the WooCommerce REST API for ERP or sheet sync
Nightly aggregation via WP-Cron so large catalogs and order histories report without slowing wp-admin
CSV / Excel export of every report for your accountant or bookkeeping software
Role-gated visibility — restrict cost and profit figures to shop_manager / administrator via WordPress capabilities
Optional WPML and WordPress multisite support for multilingual and multi-store setups
Date-range and per-product, per-category, per-gateway filtering on all profit reports

À propos de ce produit

WooCommerce shows you revenue. It does not show you profit. Your "Analytics > Net Sales" number ignores what you paid for stock, the Stripe/PayPal gateway fees, real shipping cost, and the ad spend that bought the order. Cost of Goods (COGS) & Profit Reports for WooCommerce closes that gap.

This is a build-to-order plugin — ECOSIRE builds it, installs it on your WordPress site, and supports it. It is not an instant WooCommerce.com or WordPress.org download. We scope it to your store, products, gateways and cost structure, then deliver a working plugin in your wp-content/plugins/ directory.

What it does, concretely:

  • Adds a COGS field per product and per variation (material, labor, inbound shipping) stored in product meta and editable from the product data panel and in bulk via CSV or the WooCommerce REST API.
  • Writes profit and margin columns onto the WooCommerce Orders screen and product list — HPOS / custom order tables compatible, so cost is snapshotted at sale time and historical margins stay accurate even after a price change.
  • Generates a true Profit & Loss report: revenue minus COGS, minus payment-gateway fees (parsed from gateway metadata), minus shipping, minus ad spend.
  • Tracks inventory valuation — purchase value, COGS value, retail value and stock-on-hand across your catalog.
  • Captures ad spend and ROI per channel so you see contribution margin, not vanity revenue.

Built with native WordPress hooks, actions and filters, a dedicated admin report page under WooCommerce, and WP-Cron for nightly roll-ups. Plays cleanly with WPML and multisite when required. You own the code outright.

Ce que vous obtenez

  • A custom WooCommerce plugin packaged and installed in your site's wp-content/plugins/ directory, activated and configured
  • COGS data model wired into your products and variations, with your existing costs imported via CSV where you provide them
  • Profit/margin columns live on your Orders and products screens, HPOS-compatible
  • A working Profit & Loss report page and inventory-valuation dashboard under the WooCommerce admin menu
  • Payment-gateway fee mapping configured for your active gateways (e.g. Stripe, PayPal)
  • Setup documentation plus a short screen-share walkthrough for your team
  • Full source code ownership — no per-seat licensing or external SaaS dependency
  • Post-delivery support window with bug fixes and a compatibility check against your WooCommerce/WordPress version

Pour qui c'est

Owner-operator DTC merchant

Runs a single WooCommerce store and suspects some best-selling SKUs lose money after Stripe fees and shipping. Needs a real per-order margin number, not WooCommerce's revenue-only analytics, to decide what to discount, drop or reprice.

Finance / bookkeeping lead

Closes the books monthly and currently rebuilds gross margin by hand in spreadsheets. Wants a P&L report that nets out COGS, gateway fees, shipping and ad spend, with CSV export that ties out to QuickBooks or Xero.

Growth / performance marketer

Buys traffic across channels and needs ROI and contribution margin per order, not just ROAS on revenue, so ad budget shifts toward genuinely profitable products and campaigns.

Foire aux questions sur Cost of Goods (COGS) & Profit Reports

Is this an instant plugin download I can install myself?

No. This is build-to-order. ECOSIRE builds the plugin around your store's products, variations, gateways and cost structure, then installs and activates it on your WordPress site. It is not a one-click WooCommerce.com or WordPress.org download — you receive a working, configured plugin plus the full source code.

How long does delivery take?

Typical lead time is about one working week from when we confirm scope and you provide WooCommerce/WordPress admin (or staging) access and your cost data. A straightforward single-store build lands toward the shorter end; multilingual (WPML), multisite, or custom ERP/REST sync extends it. We give you a firm date after scoping — we don't promise same-day.

Will it work with HPOS and my version of WooCommerce?

Yes. The plugin is built against WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (custom order tables) and declares HPOS compatibility, so it doesn't depend on legacy order post-meta. We test it against your specific WooCommerce and WordPress versions before handover and keep PHP and WP coding standards throughout.

Are profit and cost figures hidden from staff and customers?

Yes. Cost, margin and P&L data are gated behind WordPress capabilities — by default only administrator and shop_manager roles can see them. Nothing about COGS or profit is ever exposed on the storefront, in REST responses to unauthenticated requests, or in customer-facing order emails.

What about updates and ongoing support after delivery?

Every build includes a post-delivery support window covering bug fixes and a compatibility check against WooCommerce and WordPress core updates. Because you own the source outright, you're never locked into a subscription. Many merchants keep a low-cost ongoing maintenance arrangement with ECOSIRE for proactive updates as their store and gateways change — but that's optional, not required to keep the plugin working.
