The PayPal Advanced Checkout Connector is a build-to-order Shopify app that ECOSIRE designs, develops, installs and supports for your specific store. This is not an instant App Store download — after purchase we scope your requirements, build against your theme and PayPal business account, and hand over a working, tested integration with an honest delivery lead time.
The connector embeds PayPal smart payment buttons on cart, product and a branded one-page checkout via Shopify's checkout extensibility and theme app extensions, so buyers complete payment without losing context. It surfaces Venmo and Pay Later messaging dynamically based on cart value and buyer eligibility, and supports card vaulting so returning customers pay in fewer taps using a stored PayPal vault token — never raw card data on your servers.
Under the hood we use the PayPal Orders v2 and Vault APIs server-side, register Shopify webhooks (orders/create, refunds/create, app/uninstalled) and write payment state into order metafields through the Admin GraphQL API. Refunds initiated in Shopify push to PayPal, and PayPal disputes and refunds sync back to the matching Shopify order so your team has one source of truth. Authentication uses Shopify OAuth with offline tokens and encrypted credential storage.
Because every store differs — theme, locale, tax, multi-currency, existing payment providers — we tailor button placement, eligibility rules and fallback behavior rather than ship a one-size-fits-all widget. Is this an instant Shopify App Store download?
No. The PayPal Advanced Checkout Connector is built to order. After purchase, ECOSIRE scopes your store, builds the integration against your theme and PayPal business account, installs it and verifies live transactions before handover. It is a custom engagement, not a self-serve install.
How long does delivery take?
Typical delivery is about one working week depending on theme complexity, the number of markets and currencies, and how quickly we can access your PayPal business account and Shopify store. We confirm a firm timeline during scoping right after purchase and keep you updated through build, sandbox testing and live cutover.
What ongoing support and updates are included?
Every build includes an agreed post-launch support window for bug fixes and for keeping the integration current with Shopify Admin API and PayPal API version changes. After that window, ongoing maintenance and enhancements are available as a separate support plan so your checkout keeps working as the platforms evolve.
Does this keep card and payment data secure?
Yes. Card and PayPal details are tokenized through the PayPal Vault, so your store never stores raw card numbers. We use Shopify OAuth with offline tokens, encrypt your PayPal client credentials, and verify webhook payload signatures so refund and dispute events are trusted.
Do refunds and disputes really sync both ways?
Refunds issued in Shopify are pushed to PayPal, and refunds or disputes raised in PayPal are written back onto the matching Shopify order via metafields and timeline notes using the Admin GraphQL API. The goal is one reconciled source of truth so finance and support are not checking two systems.
Can it work alongside my existing Shopify Payments or other providers?
Yes. The connector adds PayPal, Venmo and Pay Later as smart-button options and express checkout entry points; it does not require you to remove Shopify Payments or other gateways. During scoping we agree on button placement and fallback so the experience stays clean for buyers.
