QuickBooks & Xero Accounting Sync is a Shopify app that ECOSIRE custom-builds, installs and supports for your store — not an instant App Store download. After purchase we connect to your Shopify Admin via OAuth, wire the Admin GraphQL API and order/refund/payout webhooks, and connect QuickBooks Online or Xero through their official OAuth APIs. The result is bookkeeping that runs hands-off and actually reconciles.
Most stores drown in line-item noise: thousands of individual orders, Shopify Payments fees buried inside payouts, tax that never ties out, and gift cards booked as revenue. This app takes the opposite, accountant-approved approach. Instead of one messy entry per order, it groups activity by Shopify payout and posts a single summarized journal entry per deposit — with gross sales, discounts, shipping, taxes, processing fees, refunds, chargebacks and gift-card liability each mapped to the correct ledger account.
Because every entry is built around the payout, the net amount matches the exact bank deposit that lands in your QuickBooks or Xero bank feed — so reconciliation becomes a one-click match instead of a month-end investigation. We also run a historical import so prior periods are clean and consistent, and we handle multi-currency stores by recording presentment vs. settlement amounts and posting realized FX differences correctly.
You tell us your chart of accounts, tax codes and clearing-account preferences during a short onboarding call, and we map everything to match how your bookkeeper already works. ECOSIRE builds it, installs it on your store, and supports it — including adjustments when Shopify or your accounting platform changes their APIs. Is this an instant App Store download?
No. This is a build-to-order Shopify app. After purchase, ECOSIRE custom-builds it for your store, installs it via OAuth, and configures the QuickBooks or Xero connection to match your chart of accounts. You are buying a built-and-installed solution, not a self-serve download.
How long does delivery take?
Typical delivery is about one working week from the onboarding call, depending on whether you need a historical import and multi-currency handling. Onboarding starts with a short call to capture your accounting platform, chart of accounts, tax codes and clearing-account preferences; we then build, test against your real payouts in a clearing account, and go live with you.
Does it work with both QuickBooks Online and Xero?
Yes. We connect to either QuickBooks Online or Xero through their official OAuth APIs. You pick one as your destination during onboarding, and we map Shopify activity to that platform's accounts and tax codes. The app is built for the platform you actually use.
Will the entries actually reconcile to my bank deposits?
Yes — that is the core design. Entries are grouped by Shopify payout, so the net of each journal entry (sales minus fees, refunds and adjustments) equals the exact deposit amount that hits your bank feed. In QuickBooks or Xero you simply match the deposit to the entry instead of hunting through hundreds of order lines.
What about ongoing support and updates?
ECOSIRE supports the app after launch. Your purchase includes a post-launch support window for bug fixes, mapping adjustments, and maintenance when Shopify, QuickBooks or Xero change their APIs. If you need new account mappings or extended functionality later, we scope that as a follow-on so your sync keeps working as your business changes.
