This is a build-to-order AL extension. ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs, and supports it as a per-tenant extension directly on your Business Central environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem). It is not an instant AppSource download — it is a real engagement where we adapt the suite to your item categories, production BOMs, regulatory regime, and existing customizations before deployment.
The suite adds table and page extensions over Item Ledger Entry, Item Tracking, Production Order, and Posted Sales/Purchase documents; event subscribers on posting routines to capture genealogy at the moment of transaction; a navigable forward/backward genealogy tree page; and a mock-recall engine that walks component-to-finished-good links and rolls up every impacted customer shipment. FEFO logic plugs into reservation and pick creation, expiry/best-before drives availability, and CoA documents attach to lots through Business Central's native attachment framework or Dataverse, surfaced over the OData/REST API for your QMS or supplier portal.

+How long does delivery take, and is this an instant AppSource download?
It is not an instant download. The Lot & Serial Traceability Suite is build-to-order: after purchase we run a short discovery on your item categories, BOMs, and regulatory regime, then build, install, and validate the per-tenant AL extension on your Business Central sandbox before promoting to production. Typical delivery is 2 to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of your production flow and the integrations you need. You get a clear schedule at kickoff.
+How is the extension installed on our Business Central environment?
ECOSIRE installs it as a per-tenant extension (.app) — first on your sandbox for user-acceptance testing, then on production via the BC admin center or the extension management page. For BC on-prem we deploy through PowerShell publishing. It uses only table/page extensions and event subscribers, so there is no base-application modification and the extension stays upgrade-safe across Microsoft's monthly releases.
+What ongoing support and updates are included?
The build includes 30 days of post-go-live support to fix any issues found in real use. Beyond that we offer an optional maintenance plan covering Microsoft major-release compatibility checks (BC ships updates roughly monthly with two major waves a year), priority fixes, and enhancement requests. Because you receive the source AL code, you are never locked in — you can have us, your partner, or your in-house team maintain it.
+Will this conflict with our existing Business Central customizations or AppSource apps?
We assess your installed extensions during discovery. Because the suite is built with table/page extensions and event subscribers rather than base-app changes, it coexists cleanly with most customizations. Where another extension subscribes to the same posting events, we coordinate ordering and test the combined behavior on your sandbox before production deployment.
+Can the genealogy and recall data feed Power BI, Power Automate, or our QMS?
Yes. The suite exposes genealogy, recall-scope, and CoA data over Business Central's REST/OData v4 API. From there you can build Power BI traceability dashboards, trigger Power Automate flows on expiry or quarantine events, sync to Dataverse for the wider Power Platform, or push to an external QMS or supplier portal. We document the endpoints and provide sample queries as part of delivery.

Yes. The suite handles lot numbers, serial numbers, and items tracked by both.
