Yes. The plugin is built for current WooCommerce. It reads order and refund data through WooCommerce's CRUD layer and order-data store, so it works whether your store uses HPOS / custom order tables or the legacy post-based order storage, and it functions with both the classic and block-based checkout. Yes. We include an optional WP-Cron batch job that scans existing WooCommerce refunds and back-fills credit notes for them, assigning numbers in your chosen series. This is configured during setup so your historical refunds get compliant documents without you reprocessing each order by hand.

Credit notes use their own dedicated sequential series, separate from invoice numbers, with a configurable prefix, zero-padding and optional yearly reset. Numbers are assigned atomically at generation time to prevent gaps or duplicates, and each credit note records a hard reference to the original invoice number and order ID, giving auditors a clean, unbroken trail between the sale and its reversal.
