Age & Identity Verification at Checkout is a custom Shopify app that ECOSIRE builds for your store, scoped to your products, your shipping destinations, and your legal thresholds.

This is not an instant App Store download. We build it to order against your catalog and compliance requirements, install it on your store, and support it after launch.

The gate runs as a Checkout UI Extension so the age and consent step renders natively inside Shopify Checkout (including Shopify Plus) without breaking the buyer flow or violating checkout integrity rules. Enforcement is conditional: rules key off product tags, collections, or metafields, plus the customer's shipping country/region — so a wine bottle shipping to a 21+ state is gated while an unrestricted accessory passes through untouched.

For higher-risk SKUs we wire in document/ID verification via a third-party KYC provider (e.g. Persona, Veriff, or one you already use), invoked through their API with results written back to order metafields. Every decision — pass, fail, override — is written to a compliance audit log you can export.

Server-side enforcement is reinforced with an orders/create webhook and the Admin GraphQL API, so an order that slips a client-side check can be flagged, held, or cancelled. Installation uses standard OAuth with least-privilege scopes. The consent UI, copy, and thresholds are fully customizable to your brand and counsel's wording. You own the result; we maintain it.
