Rental & Equipment Hire POS turns standard Business Central retail into a full equipment-hire counter without bolting on a separate rental system. It is delivered as a per-tenant AL extension that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports directly on your Business Central environment — not an instant AppSource download.
The extension adds a Rentable Item concept on top of your existing item cards using table and page extensions, plus a new availability calendar so counter staff can see what is on hire, reserved, or back in stock at any date. Bookings, check-out and check-in run inside the POS flow your cashiers already use, with deposits, security holds, daily/weekly/seasonal rate plans, and automatic late and damage charges posted back through standard BC sales and finance documents.
Because it is real AL — table extensions, page extensions, event subscribers, and codeunits — it respects your permission sets, posts to the correct G/L accounts, and surfaces rental data through the BC REST/OData API for Power BI or Dataverse / Power Platform reporting.
