Airwallex Payments for WooCommerce connects your WordPress store to Airwallex so you can accept cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through a single embedded checkout — and route transactions through local acquiring in 100+ currencies to cut the cross-border interchange and FX markup that erode margins on international orders.
This is a build-to-order plugin, not an instant marketplace download. ECOSIRE builds the gateway against your exact stack — WooCommerce version, theme, and checkout type (classic shortcode or the block-based Checkout) — then installs and configures it on your WordPress site with your live Airwallex API keys and webhook secret. You receive a working, tested integration, not a ZIP to wrestle with alone.
Under the hood it registers a proper WC_Payment_Gateway class via the woocommerce_payment_gateways filter, renders the Airwallex Drop-in / embedded element so card data never touches your server (SAQ-A scope), and creates the PaymentIntent server-side through the Airwallex API. A signed webhook endpoint (registered through the WordPress REST API) keeps order status in sync for payment_intent.succeeded, captures, and disputes — so a customer closing the tab mid-redirect never leaves you with a stuck order.
It is built HPOS-compatible (the WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage / custom order tables), declares the feature-compatibility flag, and persists Airwallex IDs as order meta. Refunds are issued straight from the WooCommerce order screen and pushed to Airwallex via API. FX-optimized settlement is handled in your Airwallex account, with the plugin presenting and recording the transaction currency correctly per order.
Multilingual stores are supported: gateway titles and descriptions are translation-ready and work alongside WPML / Polylang and WooCommerce multi-currency plugins.
