Shopify Payments and most off-the-shelf gateways do not give GCC merchants the local card rails their shoppers actually use. A Saudi customer reaching for mada, a Kuwaiti shopper on KNET, or a Bahraini buyer on benefit will abandon a checkout that only offers international Visa/Mastercard. This is a build-to-order integration that wires your Shopify store into Tap Payments, the SAMA- and CBK-regulated payment processor purpose-built for the GCC.

This is not an instant App Store install. After purchase, ECOSIRE builds, configures and installs the integration on your store, then hands it over tested and live. We register the app against your store via OAuth, connect your Tap merchant account through the Tap Charge and Authorize APIs, and wire order state back into Shopify using the Admin GraphQL API and transaction/refund webhooks so captures, voids and refunds stay in sync with your Shopify order timeline.

Shoppers get a localized payment step supporting mada, KNET, benefit, GCC-issued Visa/Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with multi-currency presentment across SAR, AED, KWD, BHD and USD. On the back end you keep authorize-then-capture, partial captures and partial/full refunds, with every transaction reconciled to the Shopify order via metafields and the order's financial status.

Because it is built for your specific store, theme and catalog, we adapt to your existing checkout extensibility, multi-location fulfilment and tax setup rather than forcing a generic flow. Typical delivery is 5–7 business days. You own the result, and ECOSIRE provides post-launch support and Tap/Shopify API compatibility updates. Honest scope: payment-method availability depends on your approved Tap merchant account and the GCC markets Tap has licensed you for — we integrate what your Tap contract enables, we do not underwrite or replace it.

How long until the Tap integration is live on my store?

Typical delivery is 5–7 business days from the point we have access to your Shopify store and your approved Tap merchant credentials. We build and test in a sandbox first, then schedule a supervised go-live where we verify a real transaction before handing over. Complex multi-currency or custom-checkout setups can add a few days, and we confirm the timeline in writing before we start.

Is this an instant App Store download?

No. This is a build-to-order service. After purchase, ECOSIRE custom-builds, configures and installs the integration on your specific store, then hands it over tested and live. You are paying for the build and installation, not a self-serve App Store listing.

Do I still need my own Tap Payments account?

Yes. Tap is a regulated payment processor (SAMA in KSA, CBK in Kuwait), and you must hold your own approved Tap merchant account. We integrate the payment methods your Tap contract has enabled — we do not underwrite payments or replace your merchant agreement. Which local rails appear (mada, KNET, benefit) depends on the markets Tap has licensed you for.

What ongoing support and updates do I get after launch?

Every build includes a post-launch support window for issues with the integration, plus compatibility maintenance when Shopify's Admin API or Tap's APIs change. We monitor for breaking webhook or API-version changes and patch the integration so payments keep flowing. Extended support and feature additions can be arranged beyond the initial window.

Can you handle refunds, partial captures and reconciliation?

Yes. The integration supports authorize-then-capture, partial captures and full or partial refunds, all posted back to the Shopify order timeline via the Admin GraphQL API.
