Refunds quietly bleed margin out of apparel and lifestyle brands. The Returns & Exchanges Portal (RMA) is a build-to-order Shopify app that turns returns from a revenue leak into a retention moment — steering shoppers toward an even exchange, an upsized swap, or store credit before a cash refund is ever offered.
This is not an instant App Store download. ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs, and supports the portal for your specific store, theme, fulfilment setup, and returns policy. We connect to your store via OAuth and the Admin GraphQL API, read order and line-item data, and write returns back using Shopify's native Return and ReverseFulfillment objects so refunds, restocks, and store-credit accounts stay accurate inside Shopify Admin.
Customers land on a branded, theme-matched portal — your logo, fonts, and domain — look up an order by email and order number, and pick eligible items. Automated return rules (evaluated from order date, tags, product type, collection, and metafields) decide what's eligible, what's final sale, and whether an item qualifies for free or paid return shipping. Prepaid return labels are generated through your carrier account, and multi-location inventory is restocked to the right warehouse on receipt.
Behind the scenes, Shopify webhooks (orders/create, returns/*, refunds/create) keep state in sync, and an admin view gives your team approvals, audit history, and exportable reporting.
Because every brand's policy is different, we scope your exact exchange logic, credit rules, and label flow during onboarding — then deliver a tested, documented portal with handover. You own the result; we keep it running.

No. The Returns & Exchanges Portal is build-to-order. After purchase, ECOSIRE custom-builds and installs the app on your store via OAuth, configures it to your exact returns policy, and hands it over tested and documented. It is not a one-click App Store listing.
How long until it's live on my store?

What about ongoing support and updates after launch?

In most cases, yes.
