What this is

Crypto / USDT Stablecoin Payments for Business Central is a build-to-order AL extension that adds digital-asset settlement to your existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. It is not an instant AppSource download — ECOSIRE scopes it to your gateway, chart of accounts and reconciliation rules, then builds it, installs it as a per-tenant extension, and supports it on your tenant.

How it works

We extend the posted and unposted Sales Invoice pages (page extensions) and add crypto-payment intent records via a dedicated table extension. When you issue an invoice, the extension calls your chosen crypto payment provider (for example Coinbase Commerce, BitPay, NOWPayments or a similar gateway you already hold an account with) through its REST API to mint a pay-by-link and a scannable QR code denominated in USDT, USDC or a major asset. The customer pays from any wallet.

Incoming settlements arrive on the gateway webhook. We expose a secured webhook receiver (an API page / OData-bound endpoint) so the gateway can notify Business Central directly, and a Job Queue entry polls for confirmations as a fallback. On confirmation, an event subscriber on the payment-application flow records the real-time fiat conversion at the locked rate, posts a Cash Receipt Journal line, and auto-reconciles it against the originating customer ledger entry — closing the invoice with the on-chain transaction hash stored for audit. Refunds are handled symmetrically, reversing to the payer wallet and writing a credit memo.

Everything respects standard BC controls: dedicated permission sets, dimensions, number series, and multi-currency. Optional Dataverse / Power Platform surfacing lets finance see crypto settlement status in a Power BI or Power Apps view. We hand over source, a deployment runbook, and a support window.

How long until it is live on our tenant?

This is built to order, not an instant download. After a short scoping call to confirm your gateway, assets and reconciliation rules, typical delivery is around 2 to 4 weeks: we build in a sandbox, you validate end-to-end with a test settlement, then we install the per-tenant extension on production. Exact lead time depends on gateway specifics and how many assets or networks you need.

Do we need our own crypto payment gateway account?

Yes. The extension integrates with a provider you hold an account with (for example Coinbase Commerce, BitPay, NOWPayments or similar). You keep custody and settlement with your gateway; ECOSIRE wires Business Central to its REST API and webhooks. We can advise on provider selection during scoping if you are undecided.

What happens with ongoing support and Business Central updates?

It ships with a defined support window for bug fixes. Because it is built as a per-tenant extension using page/table extensions and event subscribers rather than core modifications, it is designed to survive Microsoft's monthly updates. We run a compatibility check against major BC releases and can provide a maintenance arrangement for ongoing updates, new assets, or gateway changes after the initial window.

How does fiat conversion and rate locking actually work?

When the pay-by-link or QR is generated, the gateway quotes a fiat-equivalent rate. If rate locking is enabled, that rate holds for a configured window (for example 15 minutes). The settled crypto is converted at the locked rate and the resulting fiat amount is what posts to the Cash Receipt Journal and applies to the customer ledger entry, so the invoice closes to the expected value. The on-chain hash and the rate used are both stored for audit.

Is it secure and does it respect our BC permissions?

Yes. The webhook receiver verifies the gateway's HMAC signature so only authentic confirmations post. Access is gated by dedicated permission sets, settlements post through standard journals and posting routines (we never bypass core posting), and every transaction stores its on-chain hash, network and confirmation count for traceability. No private keys are held in Business Central — custody stays with your gateway and wallets.
