Hotels running their property management on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central lose money two ways at the distribution layer: stale availability that triggers overbookings, and manual re-keying of OTA reservations. The Channel Manager Connector closes both gaps by wiring your Business Central PMS directly to SiteMinder or SynXis as a two-way integration.
This is not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs and supports the connector as a per-tenant AL extension deployed onto your own Business Central environment (cloud or on-prem). We start from your room-type and rate-plan structure, map it to the channel manager's codes, and configure the sync the way your property actually operates.
On the technical side, the extension adds table and page extensions for room/rate mapping and channel configuration, event subscribers on reservation, rate and inventory changes, and codeunits that call the SiteMinder/SynXis APIs. Outbound rate and availability pushes and inbound reservation polling run through the Business Central Job Queue so sync continues unattended. Inbound OTA bookings are written into your PMS reservation tables; rate and availability changes flow outward in near real time. Overbooking protection and inventory pooling logic enforce that what an OTA can sell never exceeds true open inventory.
Dedicated permission sets scope who can configure channels and view the sync log. Is this available as an instant download from Microsoft AppSource?
No. This is a build-to-order solution. ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs and configures it as a per-tenant AL extension on your own Business Central environment. There is no instant AppSource download because every property has a different room-type, rate-plan and channel-manager setup that has to be mapped before the connector is useful.
How long does delivery take?
Typical lead time is about one working week from kickoff, depending on the number of room types, rate plans and channels, and on how quickly your SiteMinder or SynXis API credentials are provisioned. The schedule covers requirements and mapping, AL development, a sandbox sync test against your channel manager, then production install and go-live support. We confirm exact dates after the scoping call.
Do you support SiteMinder, SynXis, or both?
We build for whichever one you use. Each engagement targets your specific channel manager and its API. If you run both, or want a second channel manager added later, we extend the same per-tenant extension since you own it.
What happens to ongoing support and updates after launch?
ECOSIRE provides ongoing support for the installed extension, including fixes, mapping changes for new room types or rate plans, and adjustments when SiteMinder, SynXis or a Business Central version update changes behavior. Because the connector runs as your own per-tenant extension with source handed over, you are never locked out, and support terms are agreed up front rather than tied to a third-party vendor roadmap.
How does overbooking protection actually work?
The connector treats true open availability in Business Central as the ceiling. Inventory pooling logic calculates sellable rooms per type, and outbound availability pushes never expose more than that ceiling to the OTAs. When a reservation arrives from any channel, availability is recalculated and re-pushed so the other channels are decremented, which is what prevents two OTAs from selling the last room.
