A standard build, install, Xero mapping and historical backfill typically completes within a short, agreed lead time after we receive Shopify and Xero access and confirm your account mapping. We agree the exact timeline with you before any work starts; multi-currency setups and large historical backfills can extend it slightly.

Yes. We support the connector after launch, including handling Shopify Admin API and Xero API changes, fixing any unmatched payout, and answering reconciliation questions. The exact ongoing support terms are agreed up front so you are never left maintaining the integration alone.

The app reads your orders, transactions and payouts via the Shopify Admin GraphQL API and order/refund/payout webhooks. Each day it posts a summary sales journal and a payout clearing journal to Xero. The clearing account nets processor fees so the Xero bank line reconciles in one click against the actual Shopify Payments or PayPal deposit. Posting is idempotent, so retries never create duplicate journals.

Yes. Shopify tax lines are mapped to your Xero tax rates so VAT (UK) or GST (AU/NZ) is broken out per rate rather than lumped together. Multi-currency orders are captured at transaction value and reported in your Xero home currency, with processor fees and FX posted consistently.

No. We map to dedicated clearing and control accounts and never post directly over your existing manual entries.
