India's e-invoicing mandate requires every GST-registered business above the turnover threshold to register each B2B invoice with the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) and carry a signed IRN and QR code before goods move. Shopify has no native concept of GST, HSN codes, IRN registration or e-way bills — so most Indian merchants stitch together spreadsheets and manual GSP portals after every order. This app closes that gap.
ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports this app for your specific store — it is not a one-click App Store download. We provision a custom Shopify app on your store via OAuth, subscribe to orders/create and orders/fulfilled webhooks, and read line items, customer GSTIN (captured at checkout or via a customer metafield), shipping address and multi-location inventory through the Admin GraphQL API.
For each qualifying order the app computes CGST/SGST for intra-state and IGST for inter-state supplies from your HSN-to-rate mapping, builds the IRP-schema (INV-01) JSON payload, submits it to the IRP through your chosen GSP/ASP, and writes the returned IRN, acknowledgement number and signed QR back onto the order as metafields. When a shipment exceeds the value threshold it generates the e-way bill with transporter and vehicle details. A back-office screen lets your team review, retry failed registrations, cancel an IRN within the 24-hour window, and produce GSTR-1-ready exports.
Everything is scoped to your catalogue, your GSP credentials and your filing workflow. You own the installed app and the data. Pricing is a one-time build fee; optional retainers cover schema changes and ongoing support.

Does it handle CGST/SGST versus IGST and e-way bills automatically?
Yes. The app determines the place of supply from the dispatching location's state and the buyer's state, applies CGST/SGST for intra-state and IGST for inter-state supplies using your HSN tax rates, and generates an e-way bill when the consignment value crosses the threshold. You can review and override edge cases in the back-office screen before submission.
What happens if an order fails IRP registration?
Failures are caught and surfaced in a review queue inside Shopify admin with the IRP error code and message. You can correct the data (for example a missing or invalid GSTIN) and retry. The app also supports cancelling an IRN within the 24-hour window allowed by the IRP, with the cancellation written back to the order.
