Sports clubs and academies lose money and goodwill in the seams between systems: memberships in a spreadsheet, court bookings on a whiteboard or WhatsApp, coaching batches in a coach's head, and fees chased by hand every month. Odoo out of the box gives you contacts, invoicing and a calendar, but it has no native concept of a "member on an active plan," a "bookable court with opening hours and clash detection," a "coaching batch with a capped roster," or "attendance that rolls up into a player's performance record." Teams end up bolting the Events, Rental and Subscription apps together and still hand-stitching the parts that matter — which is exactly where a purpose-built module earns its keep.

At its core are new ORM models declared in a proper __manifest__.py — a member/player record related to res.partner, a membership-plan model, a facility/court model, a booking model, a coaching-batch model and an attendance model. Each carries real fields, @api.depends computed values (plan expiry date, outstanding balance, batch occupancy, attendance percentage) and @api.constrains guards so a court cannot be double-booked and a batch cannot exceed capacity. Bookings and batch sessions surface in Odoo's Calendar and (on Enterprise) Gantt views; on Community we ship a Calendar plus list/kanban fallback so scheduling stays workable without Enterprise-only widgets.

Billing is wired into Odoo's real accounting stack rather than reinvented. Membership plans and coaching packages map to product.product records, and a scheduled automated action (ir.cron) generates the recurring account.move invoices for active plans on their billing cycle, flags overdue members, and can trigger reminder emails through Odoo's mail templates. Front-desk attendance capture (barcode/QR check-in or a one-tap OWL kanban) writes attendance lines that feed both the player's performance history and the coach's session roster. QWeb reports produce membership cards, batch attendance sheets, fee receipts and coach payout summaries as branded PDFs, and every model is exposed over Odoo's XML-RPC / JSON-RPC API so a club website, mobile app or turnstile can register members and read booking availability.

Access is locked down with ir.model.access.csv plus record rules — front-desk staff see today's bookings and can check members in, coaches see only their own batches and rosters, and finance sees fees and payouts — so the receptionist never lands in your general ledger. The build targets Odoo 17.0, 18.0 or 19.0 (Community or Enterprise; we tell you up front which capabilities need Enterprise) and follows core conventions so it survives future upgrades.
