Leadership teams running Odoo usually have the numbers they need — they just live in eight different places. Revenue sits in Invoicing, pipeline in CRM, stock value in Inventory, margin in Sales, cash position in Accounting, and each has its own filters and its own idea of "this month." Odoo's native per-app dashboards, pivot views, and the Spreadsheet dashboards are strong in isolation, but out of the box there is no single governed screen that reconciles cross-app KPIs, applies one consistent date and company context, and presents an executive-grade snapshot the moment someone logs in. Stitching that together from saved pivots and manual exports is where most teams run out of road: definitions drift, refresh is manual, and nobody fully trusts the number in the Monday meeting.
The Company Overview Dashboard is a made-to-order Odoo module that ECOSIRE builds around your actual KPI definitions. Technically it is a proper addon with its own __manifest__.py and a custom aggregation layer — computed/transient models plus, where history matters, stored snapshot models that read across sale.order, account.move, crm.lead, stock.valuation.layer, purchase.order, and any other source you nominate. We use read_group/_read_group and SQL-backed aggregation rather than row-by-row loops so the dashboard stays responsive on large datasets, and @api.depends compute methods keep derived KPIs (margin %, DSO, win rate, on-time delivery) consistent everywhere they appear.
The front end is an OWL client action rendered through QWeb: KPI tiles, trend sparklines, target-vs-actual gauges, and drill-through links that open the underlying Odoo records so an executive can go from "revenue is down" to the exact invoices in two clicks. Every figure honors a single global context — company selector (multi-company aware), date-range presets, and comparison period — so the whole board recalculates coherently. Access is governed the Odoo way: ir.model.access.csv for model rights plus ir.rule record rules so a regional director sees only their companies while the CEO sees the group, and optional scheduled ir.cron snapshots let you trend KPIs over time and expose them to Power BI or another tool over the standard XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API.
Delivery is build-to-order. We start with a short scoping call to lock the exact KPI list, source models, security model, and target Odoo version (we support 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, and account for Community vs Enterprise differences — for example Enterprise-only widgets are never assumed on a Community deployment). You approve a fixed quote and a KPI specification, we build on a staging copy of your database, you sign off through UAT, and we deploy with a rollback plan. Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. Pricing starts from $249 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-company consolidation, a larger KPI catalog, external-system integrations, and historical data backfill increase the quoted scope.
Wants one trustworthy screen at login showing revenue, margin, cash, pipeline, and stock value across all companies — with drill-through when a number looks off, not a spreadsheet emailed on Friday.
Needs cross-app financial KPIs (DSO, gross margin, AR/AP, cash position) that reconcile to Accounting and honor multi-company boundaries, with period comparisons and an exportable board pack.
Tracks pipeline conversion, on-time delivery, inventory value, and team performance, and wants role-scoped access so each manager sees only their region while leadership sees the group.
Responsible for the deployment and wants a clean, upgrade-safe addon with clear `ir.model.access.csv`/record rules, no core patching, and a git handover they can maintain.
| Criterion | ECOSIRE | Custom Build | Competitor | Odoo Native |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KPI definitions | Reconciled to your exact formulas, one shared definition across all tiles | Whatever your team codes; consistency depends on in-house discipline | Fixed metric set defined by the vendor, limited redefinition | |
| Cross-app consolidation | Single governed screen spanning Sales, Invoicing, CRM, Inventory, Accounting | Possible but you build and maintain the aggregation yourself | Often scoped to one domain or a preset app combination | |
| Multi-company & security | `ir.rule` record rules scoped to your org structure during scoping | Depends on how carefully your team implements record rules | Generic access levels, may not match your company hierarchy | |
| Delivery model | Built, installed, and UAT-tested on staging in 2–4 weeks | Internal backlog dependent; often months of elapsed time | Instant download, but configuration and fit are on you | |
| Fit to your data | Tuned against a copy of your real database before go-live | Full control, but full responsibility for performance tuning | Generic; may need workarounds for non-standard flows | |
| Ownership & lock-in | Full source and git repo handover, no lock-in | You own everything, including all maintenance burden | Encrypted or vendor-controlled code common, upgrade-dependent | |
| Support & upgrades | Post-go-live window plus optional version-upgrade service | Whatever your team can allocate later | Vendor support tiers, quality and responsiveness vary | |
| Total cost | From $249 indicative, fixed quote after scoping | Developer time adds up fast, hard to cap | Low sticker price, hidden configuration and fit costs |
No. The Company Overview Dashboard is build-to-order. ECOSIRE builds it around your specific KPI definitions, source apps, and security model, then installs and supports it. There is no instant download — the value is that the KPIs and access rules match your business exactly.
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. After the scoping call we agree the KPI list and a fixed quote, build on a staging copy of your database, run UAT with you, and then deploy. Larger KPI catalogs, multi-company consolidation, or historical data backfill can extend the timeline, and we tell you that up front.
Pricing starts from $249 as an indicative figure for a single-company base scope. It is not a fixed final price — after a short scoping call we send a fixed quote. Drivers that increase scope include multi-company consolidation, the number and complexity of KPIs, external integrations, and volume of historical data to migrate.
We build for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, on both Community and Enterprise. We account for edition differences during scoping — for example we never assume Enterprise-only widgets on a Community deployment, and we confirm your exact version before quoting.
Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration tweaks. Beyond that we offer ongoing support and version-upgrade services — because you receive the full git repository and source code, you are never locked in and can maintain it yourself if you prefer.
No. The aggregation layer uses `read_group`/`_read_group` and SQL-backed queries rather than row-by-row loops, and for heavy datasets we use scheduled `ir.cron` snapshots so the dashboard reads pre-computed figures. We tune the queries against a copy of your real data during UAT.
Yes. Access is governed with `ir.model.access.csv` model rights and `ir.rule` record rules, so a regional director sees only their companies while group leadership sees consolidated figures. The security matrix is part of the scoping sign-off and documented in the handover.
