इस उत्पाद के बारे में
Support and sales teams answer the same questions dozens of times a day, and in native Odoo every agent retypes those answers from scratch. Odoo Discuss and the mail.compose.message wizard ship no reusable-snippet mechanism at all; the helpdesk module offers only a thin "canned responses" list keyed on a /shortcut in Discuss, with no categories, no access control, no placeholders beyond a couple of fields, no analytics, and no versioning. The result is inconsistent, off-brand replies, slow onboarding for new agents, and answers that drift as no one owns the wording. When teams try to standardise, they end up pasting from a shared document outside Odoo entirely, breaking the thread context Odoo is supposed to give them.
We build a Canned Replies & Snippet Library that lives natively inside Odoo and plugs into every messaging surface. The core is a new mail.canned.reply model (extending Odoo's own where present on 17.0/18.0/19.0) carrying a rich-text body_html, attachments via ir.attachment, a many2one category_id, an owning user_id for personal snippets, and a shared/team flag. Dynamic placeholders — customer name, company, order reference, agent signature — are rendered through QWeb against the active record context at insert time, so <t t-out="object.partner_id.name"/> resolves correctly whether the reply is fired from a helpdesk ticket, a sales order chatter, or a raw Discuss channel. A /shortcut trigger and an OWL quick-search insert palette in the composer let agents drop the right reply in two keystrokes. Access is governed by ir.model.access.csv plus record rules tied to res.groups, so a category can be restricted to, say, the Finance team while personal snippets stay private to their user_id.
Beyond insertion, the module adds the operational layer native Odoo lacks. Each canned reply supports multi-language variants (a child model keyed on res.lang) with automatic language selection from the recipient's partner.lang, so a reply inserted for a French customer renders in French with no agent decision. Usage is tracked in a mail.canned.reply.usage log feeding computed fields (@api.depends) and reporting views: most-used replies, per-agent usage, and a stale/unused snippet report driven by an automated action. Every reply carries a version history with restore, and an optional approval workflow (a state field with draft/pending/approved plus a manager res.groups gate) lets the shared library be curated before snippets go live. Bulk import/export of snippets in CSV/HTML covers onboarding and migration, and the whole model is reachable over XML-RPC/JSON-RPC for programmatic seeding. It builds only on base and mail, so it runs on Community and Enterprise alike; Enterprise-only surfaces such as the helpdesk composer are wired conditionally when those apps are installed.
Because this is build-to-order, you receive a version scoped to your Odoo edition, version (17.0, 18.0 or 19.0) and messaging surfaces — not a generic download. After a short scoping call we confirm which surfaces (Discuss, mail compose, unified inbox, helpdesk), your category/access model, placeholder set and language matrix, then build, test on a staging copy of your database, and hand over installable source plus documentation. Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope. Pricing starts from $999 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-company access rules, deeper localization and language-variant coverage, custom placeholder logic, and bulk migration of an existing snippet corpus increase the quoted scope.
What you get
- Installable source code for your build-to-order version, packaged as a proper Odoo module with `__manifest__.py` pinned to your Odoo 17.0/18.0/19.0 target
- Installation and configuration on your environment, including categories, `res.groups` access model and initial placeholder set
- Technical documentation covering models, fields, security rules, QWeb placeholder syntax and the XML-RPC/JSON-RPC interface
- End-user guide plus a live training session for agents and library managers
- UAT on a staging copy of your database with a documented rollback plan before production go-live
- A defined post-go-live support window for defect fixes and adjustments
- Git repository handover with full commit history and tagged release
- Optional seeded starter library and bulk-import of your existing snippet corpus (scoped separately)
Who this is for
Support team lead
Owns reply quality across a helpdesk queue and wants a governed, categorized library with approval and versioning so agents send consistent, on-brand answers and new hires ramp fast.
Sales operations manager
Needs reusable, placeholder-driven replies in the sales order and CRM chatter and the mail compose wizard, with per-team access so pricing and contract language stays controlled.
Multilingual customer service manager
Serves customers in several languages and needs each canned reply to render automatically in the recipient's language, with usage analytics to prune stale snippets.
Odoo administrator
Wants a Community-and-Enterprise-compatible module built only on `base` and `mail`, with clean `ir.model.access.csv` security, record rules, and an API for programmatic seeding and migration.
How Canned Replies & Snippet Library Compares
| Criterion | ECOSIRE | Custom Build | Competitor | Odoo नेटिव |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coverage across messaging surfaces | Discuss, mail compose, unified inbox and helpdesk from one library | Whatever you find time to wire, surface by surface | Usually one surface, typically helpdesk only | A thin helpdesk-only canned response list |
| Dynamic placeholders | QWeb-rendered from record context: name, company, order ref, signature | Possible but you build and maintain the rendering | Limited to a few hard-coded fields | A couple of fields via the `/shortcut` mechanism |
| Access control and sharing | Per-category `res.groups` rules; team-shared vs personal | Only if you design record rules yourself | Rarely more than a shared/personal toggle | No category-level access model |
| Multi-language variants | Per-reply variants auto-selected from recipient `partner.lang` | Build the language model and selection logic yourself | Seldom offered | None |
| Analytics and stale-snippet report | Usage log, per-agent metrics, unused-snippet automated action | Extra reporting work on top of the core | Usually absent | None |
| Versioning and approval | Version history with restore plus optional manager approval | You design the state machine and history model | Rarely included | None |
| Fit and ownership | Scoped to your edition/version; git handover, source is yours | Fully bespoke but on your maintenance burden | Generic; you adapt to it, licence-bound | Fixed to whatever core ships |
| Support and delivery | Built, UAT on staging, trained, post-go-live support window | Depends on in-house capacity | Vendor tickets, no tailoring | Community forums only |
Frequently Asked Questions about Canned Replies & Snippet Library
Is this an existing app I can download and install today?
No. This is a build-to-order module. ECOSIRE builds a version scoped to your Odoo edition, version and messaging surfaces after a short scoping call, then installs and supports it. It is not an off-the-shelf apps.odoo.com download.
How long does delivery take?
Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope. The timeline depends on how many surfaces (Discuss, mail compose, unified inbox, helpdesk), languages and access rules you need. We confirm the exact schedule in the fixed quote after the scoping call.
How does pricing and scoping work?
Pricing starts from $999 as an indicative single-company base scope. After a scoping call we issue a fixed quote. Drivers like multi-company access rules, deeper localization and language variants, custom placeholder logic, and bulk migration of an existing snippet library increase the quoted scope.
Which Odoo versions and editions are supported?
We support Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0 on both Community and Enterprise. The core builds only on `base` and `mail`; Enterprise-only surfaces such as the helpdesk composer are wired conditionally when those apps are installed.
What support and updates do I get after go-live?
Every build includes a defined post-go-live support window for defect fixes and adjustments, plus full git repository handover so your team owns the code. Ongoing maintenance and version upgrades to future Odoo releases can be arranged as a separate support agreement.
Can it insert placeholders like customer name and order reference automatically?
Yes. Placeholders are rendered through QWeb against the active record at insert time, so fields like customer name, company and order reference resolve correctly whether the reply fires from a helpdesk ticket, a sales order chatter or a Discuss channel.
Can we migrate our existing canned responses into it?
Yes. The module supports bulk import/export in CSV/HTML and is reachable over XML-RPC/JSON-RPC, so an existing snippet corpus can be imported during onboarding. Large or messy migrations are scoped as an add-on to the base build.
